fix(hyperframes-media): cap TTS synthesis concurrency instead of firing every line at once (#1862)
Two independent post-release feedback reports of the same mechanism from two different skills (both delegate to this one shared engine): audio.mjs fired every line's Kokoro TTS + whisper-transcribe subprocess concurrently via a bare Promise.all with no cap. - One OOM'd 12/13 lines on a resource-constrained laptop (32GB total, ~7GB free), requiring a manual patch to a sequential for-loop. - The other saw 7/8 lines fail on first run, then pass on retry once the model was cached — concurrent cold-start model loads overwhelming the machine, not a real synthesis failure. Kokoro/Whisper each load their own local model per subprocess, so firing every line at once multiplies that cost by the line count. Extracted the concurrency cap into lib/concurrency.mjs (audio.mjs is a script — it runs CLI/exit side effects on import, so it can't be unit-tested directly; the cap is small enough to pull out and test in isolation). Default 4, overridable via HYPERFRAMES_TTS_CONCURRENCY, floored at 1 (matching one report's own manual workaround). hyperframes-media/scripts/audio.mjs is the single canonical engine per its own header comment; product-launch-video, faceless-explainer, and pr-to-video each carry a thin wrapper that spawns this file as a subprocess (confirmed via their DEFAULT_ENGINE path), so this one fix covers all four skills without touching the other three. Tests: 4 new cases for mapWithConcurrency (order preserved regardless of completion order, cap actually enforced, limit > item count doesn't hang, empty input). Full skills test suite (514 tests) shows no new failures — the 444 pre-existing failures are environment-dependent and reproduce identically on unmodified main. |

feat(cli): keyframes command (surface GSAP/CSS/Anime keyframes + 3D onion-skin --shot) (#1603)
Renames the motion-surfacing tool from `hyperframes keyframes` to `hyperframes motion`, renames the implementation from keyframes*.ts to motion*.ts (keeping the keyframe data model name where still accurate), and renames the shipped skill from hyperframes-keyframes to hyperframes-motion. Expands the skill from a command reference into a full motion-design workflow: reading motion, 3D angle verification, layered GSAP motion, one-shot reference reproduction, diagnostic checks, and eval-derived craft guidance. |

fix(runtime): auto-infer composition duration for CSS/WAAPI/Lottie so data-duration is optional (#1830)
* fix(runtime): auto-infer composition duration for CSS/WAAPI/Lottie so data-duration is optional The #2 render failure bucket ("Composition has zero duration") accounts for ~27K errors / ~7K affected users over 30 days (PostHog project 356858). Root cause: only GSAP timelines got their duration auto-detected — CSS, WAAPI, and Lottie compositions had no source of truth for total duration unless the author remembered to set data-duration on the root element, and the render engine hard-failed capture when neither was present. Adds getInferredDurationSeconds() to the CSS, WAAPI, and Lottie runtime adapters (packages/core/src/runtime/adapters/*.ts) — each reports the longest finite end time it can discover from its own animations (CSS: computed timing offset by data-start; WAAPI: effect.getComputedTiming().endTime; Lottie: totalFrames/frameRate or the player's own duration). Infinite/ unbounded animations correctly return null and still require data-duration. Wires this into the runtime's existing duration-floor resolution (resolveAdapterDurationFloorSeconds in runtime/init.ts), alongside the existing media-duration and authored-composition floors, so window.__hf.duration becomes positive without any author action for finite-duration non-GSAP compositions. Three.js is unchanged — no AnimationClip/AnimationMixer inspection exists in that adapter, so data-duration remains required there. Tightens frameCapture.ts's zero-duration fast-fail gate to also check hf.duration directly (not just the two authored signals), so a composition mid-inference isn't fast-failed before its adapter-derived duration lands. Adds a new lint rule (root_composition_missing_duration_source) that errors only on genuinely non-inferable cases: no animation signal at all, Three.js without data-duration, or an infinite/unbounded CSS or WAAPI animation without data-duration. Deliberately silent on finite CSS/WAAPI/Lottie animations, since the runtime now infers those — an autofix that "inserts the inferred value" was considered and rejected: every case the rule flags has no derivable value (an infinite spinner has no finite end time; a duration-less Three.js scene has nothing to measure), so any autofix would have to fabricate a placeholder, trading a loud correct failure for a silent wrong-length render. Updates the CSS/WAAPI/Lottie/Three adapter skill docs and the hyperframes-core determinism-rules/data-attributes references to document the new optionality and the runtime mechanism backing it. Verified end-to-end against the real render pipeline (not just unit tests): a CSS-only composition with a finite 3s animation, no GSAP timeline, and no data-duration now renders a correct 3.000s MP4 via `hyperframes render` (previously: "Composition has zero duration" failure). The infinite-CSS negative control still fails fast with a clear diagnostic, matching the new lint rule. Adds a file-level fallow health exemption for lottie.ts's pre-existing `seek` handler — unrelated to this change, but its line numbers shifted when new functions were added earlier in the file, tripping fallow's inherited-finding fingerprint (documented pattern already used elsewhere in .fallowrc.jsonc for the same reason). Known limitation: the static WAAPI usage detector in the lint rule (/\.animate\(\s*[\[$A-Za-z_]/) can miss unusual call shapes; it only affects whether the "no signal at all" branch fires, and errs toward NOT flagging (reducing false positives) rather than over-flagging. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(lint): close 3 correctness gaps in root_composition_missing_duration_source - Strip JS/CSS comments before scanning for GSAP/WAAPI/Three/Lottie/CSS animation signals, so a commented-out `.animate()` call or a commented `animation: ... infinite` rule can no longer satisfy the "has a duration source" check and mask a real zero-duration render failure. - Broaden the WAAPI detection regex to also match the object-literal (PropertyIndexedKeyframes) form of `.animate()`, e.g. `el.animate({ opacity: [0,1] }, { duration: 2000 })`, which the previous character class silently missed. Corrected the adjacent comment that incorrectly claimed this shape "can't be a false negative". - Fix hasInfiniteCssAnimation to stop false-positiving on animation NAMEs that merely contain the substring "infinite" (e.g. `infinite-spin`) by anchoring the `infinite` keyword with hyphen-aware boundaries instead of a bare `\b`. Also makes the longhand `animation-name` + separately declared `animation-iteration-count: infinite` pattern detected consistently. Adds targeted unit tests for each fixed false-positive/false-negative. * fix(runtime): keep finite duration signal when an unbounded animation coexists getInferredDurationSeconds in the CSS and WAAPI adapters returned null outright whenever any animation on the composition was unbounded (infinite iteration count), even when other finite animations on the same composition could still supply a valid duration. This disagreed with the new root_composition_missing_duration_source lint rule, which treats any animation-name as sufficient — so a composition mixing a finite fadeIn with a decorative infinite spin passed lint but still failed at render with "zero duration". Unbounded animations are now skipped when computing the max end time instead of short-circuiting the whole calculation. null is only returned when every animation on the composition is unbounded, i.e. there is no finite signal to fall back on at all. Co-Authored-By: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> * docs(skills): fix table separator width in data-attributes.md oxfmt flagged the merged Composition Root table from the post-rebase merge of the auto-infer-duration docs onto main's reformatted table — the separator row was one dash short of the header width. * fix(lint): keep infinite-CSS duration rule strict but make its message honest Post-review (Vance): after the finite+infinite adapter fix, the runtime infers a length for a mixed finite+infinite CSS composition, but this lint rule still (intentionally) errors on it — an unbounded animation makes the intended total length ambiguous, so we require explicit data-duration. Keep that strictness (lint is advisory by default; it only blocks under --strict, and data-duration is the one duration signal guaranteed correct across every adapter, known and future). But the message wrongly claimed the render "will fail" — false for the mixed case, where the runtime falls back to the finite animation. Rewrite it to describe the ambiguity honestly, correct the rule's block comment, and add a mixed finite+infinite test asserting it still errors with an honest message. --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Sonnet 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

fix(skills): clear two Snyk Fails and harden the network + supply-chain surface (#1804)
* fix(skills): clear Snyk findings and harden supply-chain surface
Address the security-audit findings on the published skills with no change to
any skill's behaviour.
- media-use: resolve.test.mjs runs resolve.mjs via execFileSync with an argv
array instead of execSync(`node … "${tmp}" …`), removing the command-injection
(CWE-78) sink that drove the Snyk Fail.
- music-to-video: replace dynamic `element.innerHTML = <var>` with a setSvg()
helper (DOMParser image/svg+xml + importNode, text fallback) in the
intro-kinetic-cascade and logo-split-lockup-pulse frame templates, clearing the
DOM-XSS (CWE-79) Snyk Fail. Renders identical SVG.
- pr-to-video: fetch-people-avatars.mjs refuses any avatar URL that is not https
on a GitHub avatar host (SSRF guard) and only writes under the project dir
(path-traversal guard); best-effort, always-exit-0 behaviour is unchanged.
- embedded-captions: pin `uvx --from whisperx==3.8.6` (overridable via
$WHISPERX_VERSION) so transcription no longer resolves "latest" at runtime.
- gsap: add Subresource Integrity (integrity + crossorigin) to the 8 render-time
CDN GSAP <script> tags across embedded-captions, music-to-video,
faceless-explainer, pr-to-video and product-launch-video.
- hyperframes-animation / hyperframes-creative: document package-loader's
defense-in-depth and note that the installLine strings are display-only.
Verified: media-use resolve (12/12), probe injection (1/1) and manifest (19/19)
tests pass; avatar host-allowlist checks pass; all changed JS passes node --check
and oxfmt.

* docs(skills): clarify product-launch-video vs website-to-video routing
Sharpen the router's product-vs-site decision in hyperframes/SKILL.md: the
split is now "is the site selling a product?" — yes (SaaS / app / product /
company site) → /product-launch-video (a promo; the default for any commercial
URL, even if the site is only named); no, or the user just wants the site shown
as-is (portfolio / blog / docs / personal / event) → /website-to-video (a tour).
Updates the workflow table, the disambiguation bullet, and both workflows'
Input/Output blurbs to match.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* style(skills): satisfy oxfmt in the two music-to-video templates
The CI Format job runs `oxfmt --check .`, which also formats embedded <script> in .html. Reflow the setSvg() blocks added for the DOM-XSS fix to oxfmt's wrapping — no logic change. Regenerate the music-to-video manifest hash to match.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(skills): sanitize SVG in music-to-video templates (real CWE-79 fix)
Addresses @Magi's review: the previous setSvg() only swapped the sink
(innerHTML → DOMParser + importNode) but did NOT sanitize, so active SVG
content still executed on insertion into the live document. Verified in
headless Chrome that the old shape fired both an svg `onload` handler and an
inline `<script>`.
setSvg() now runs a default-deny cleanSvg() over the parsed tree before it ever
enters the document: only an allow-list of inert drawing elements
(svg/g/path/line/rect/circle/… ) and presentation attributes
(d/fill/stroke/viewBox/…) survives. Every other element (`<script>`, `<image>`,
`<use>`, `<foreignObject>`, `<a>`, `<animate>`, …), every `on*` handler, and
href/xlink:href/style are stripped — on the root node too. Non-SVG or malformed
input still falls back to textContent.
Trusted content (the bundled icon library + the default spark/cloud marks)
renders byte-identically; only hostile markup in vars.icon / leftMark / rightMark
is neutralized.
Browser-verified (headless Chrome, both templates' helper):
old setSvg → fired ["script","onload"]
new setSvg → fired [] · trusted icon still renders · 0 danger nodes · 0 on* attrs

fix(skills): make hyperframes package version resolution non-fatal and overridable (#1825)
* fix(skills): make hyperframes package version resolution non-fatal and overridable Global skill installs (e.g. ~/.claude/skills) have no hyperframes package.json in the loader's ancestor chain, so readBundledHyperframesVersion returns null and hyperframesPackageSpec threw. Because the spec is passed eagerly as an argument to importPackagesOrBootstrap, it threw even when @hyperframes/producer was already installed and no bootstrap was needed. Resolution order is now: HYPERFRAMES_SKILL_PKG_VERSION env override first, then the bundled/in-repo version, then a non-throwing @latest fallback that warns to stderr. @latest satisfies the pinned-spec guard so bootstrap still installs, and already-installed packages import fine; the eager argument is now harmless. In-repo resolution is unchanged (same pinned version). Applied to both package-loader.mjs copies (animation + creative) and documented the env var in animation-map.mjs and contrast-report.mjs usage. Adds a focused test covering override wins, in-repo pin, and unresolvable @latest fallback. * test(skills): cover creative package loader fallback |

feat(cli): file a GitHub issue with a published repro from feedback (#1816)
Add an opt-in --file-issue flag to hyperframes feedback. When set, after sending the usual feedback the CLI publishes a minimal repro of the project to a public URL (consent-gated, mirroring publish --yes) and opens a pre-filled GitHub bug issue draft containing the rating, comment, public repro link, and environment summary. The user reviews and submits the issue under their own account; there is no token, backend, or gh invocation. New --dir selects the project to publish; --yes skips the consent prompt for scripts. URL/body building is extracted into pure, unit-tested helpers. |

fix: storyboard-angle review follow-ups (M1 bg-on-clip, B3 slideshow, parser guard, CLI fixes) (#1791)
* fix(skills): storyboard review — bg-on-clip rule, slideshow output, parser parity guard Addresses the storyboard-angle review (jrusso1020): - M1 (invisible text): frame-worker.md (x3) + SKILL.md Step 5 (x3) now require a frame's full-bleed background on a class=clip layer, never the #root / data-composition-id element (the root is clip-gated to its scene window, so a background on it is not a dependable ground and dark text can land on the black host body). The assembler already paints frame.md's canvas onto index #root as the base ground; the per-frame clip rides on top. - B3 (slideshow truncates to slide 1): slideshow/SKILL.md gains an Output section (decks render via 'present'; 'render index.html' captures only the first composition; linear main-line MP4 export is deferred). - Parser drift: vendoredParity.test.ts guards the three vendored storyboard.mjs copies (byte-identical + parse-parity with @hyperframes/core). - skills-manifest.json regenerated for the edited SKILL.md files. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(cli): storyboard review — lint, validate help, snapshot, inspect, capture, render Addresses the CLI findings from the storyboard-angle review (jrusso1020): - lint (@hyperframes/lint): accept vendor-prefixed system-font keywords -apple-system / BlinkMacSystemFont so a system stack with a generic fallback no longer trips font_family_without_font_face (+ test). - help: list 'validate' under Project in 'hyperframes --help' (was runnable but undocumented). - snapshot: honor -o/--output (the flag did not exist; output was hardcoded to snapshots/). The dir is resolved once and threaded through capture + contact sheet + Gemini. - snapshot: split font status into loaded / error / unused with a one-line summary; only a real 'error' is reported as FAILED (an unrequested @font-face is 'unused', not a contradiction with 'loaded'). - inspect: suppress text_occluded across a scene-to-scene crossfade (occluder in a different data-composition-id mount while a scene is mid-fade); a same-scene or two-settled-scenes overlap still flags. - inspect: suppress content_overlap between in-flow siblings governed by the same flex/grid container (tight stacks / number lockups are layout slop). - capture: record source resolution (videoWidth/Height) in video-manifest.json alongside the DOM display box; consumers size off the source dims. - render: warn when the target carries a slideshow island (render captures only the first scene, so the MP4 is truncated to slide 1; use 'present'). feat(studio): make storyboard view default available (remove FF) (#1794)
* feat(studio): make storyboard view default available (remove FF) Removes STUDIO_STORYBOARD_ENABLED. The storyboard view-mode toggle was gated behind a default-off feature flag (VITE_STUDIO_ENABLE_STORYBOARD) since #1529. With the storyboard experience now ready for broad exposure, drop the gating and make the toggle available unconditionally. Changes: - packages/studio/src/components/editor/manualEditingAvailability.ts: delete the STUDIO_STORYBOARD_ENABLED constant. - packages/studio/src/App.tsx: drop the import + FF arg to useViewModeState(). Hook is now called argument-free. - packages/studio/src/components/StudioHeader.tsx: drop the import + the conditional-render guard on <ViewModeToggle />. The toggle always renders in StudioHeader's center slot. - packages/studio/src/contexts/ViewModeContext.tsx: remove the enabled: boolean parameter from useViewModeState() and simplify. - packages/studio/fixtures/storyboard-sample/README.md: drop the VITE_STUDIO_ENABLE_STORYBOARD=1 prefix from the preview command. The VITE_STUDIO_ENABLE_STORYBOARD / VITE_STUDIO_STORYBOARD_ENABLED env vars become no-ops after this change. Co-Authored-By: Jerrai <noreply@anthropic.com> * docs(skills): drop stale VITE_STUDIO_ENABLE_STORYBOARD reference The Storyboard view is now available by default (the FF removed in this PR); storyboard-format.md no longer points at the dead env var, and skills-manifest is regenerated for the hyperframes-core hash. docs(skills): instruct agents to run hyperframes feedback after render (#1785)
The `hyperframes feedback` CLI command and the post-render agent hint already exist, but no skill told agents to act on it — so the feedback channel is starved (agents see a dim stdout line and move on). Add the instruction to the three paths agents actually read in the hyperframes-cli skill: workflow step 8, an Agent Conventions bullet, and a dedicated `feedback` subsection in the preview-render reference. |

refactor(skills): rebuild faceless-explainer + pr-to-video on the shot-sequence architecture (#1778)
* refactor(skills): rebuild faceless-explainer + pr-to-video on the shot-sequence architecture Move both skills onto the current shot-sequence authoring architecture and the latest shared engine, then re-narrate to each domain. The engine fixes (pre-assembly frame guards + BGM loop-extend in assemble-index, dark-ground caption contrast, brand-accent selection + mono role in tokens, dark-mode polarity invert / weight-clamp / icon-font filter in build-frame) had only landed in one copy; both skills were a generation behind. - Authoring model: visual-design now writes a time-coded shot sequence (Scene windows paced to the voiceover) instead of the older effects-id phased note; motion-language carries the move vocabulary + the tightened motion doctrine (smooth over bouncy) + the seek-safe core (fromTo entrances, no CSS-transition motion); add cut-catalog (within-frame velocity-matched seams); frame-worker and SKILL Step 4/5 move to blueprint instantiation + shot-sequence fidelity. - faceless-explainer: fold the standalone composition.md into visual-design (inventing-the-visual / portrait / caption geometry); keep the explainer story doctrine; graft cue-segmented VO + candidate-blueprint-from-Step-3. - pr-to-video: keep the ingest pipeline (fetch-pr / ingest / fetch-people-avatars) and code-vocabulary; preserve the code-beat (code-* block as focal, Scenes choreograph the surround) and mechanism-beat treatments under the new model. - Drop stage-assets from both (no captured assets to stage); remove derivation references so each skill reads standalone. bun run scripts/lint-skills.ts passes; all scripts node --check clean. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * chore(skills): resync skills-manifest after format pass The pre-commit skills-manifest hook hashed the skills before the format hook reformatted cut-catalog.md, so the committed manifest lagged the on-disk content and CI's "Skills: manifest in sync" check failed. fix(cli): always check GitHub skills on init while skills.sh syncs (#1768)
* fix(cli): always check GitHub skills on init while skills.sh syncs The "don't pass --skip-skills" guidance lives in SKILL.md, which ships through the laggy skills.sh registry and can't be relied on to reach the agent — so an agent that improvises `--skip-skills` silently dodges the GitHub skills freshness pull. Put the guarantee in the CLI instead (the one channel that updates promptly via `npx hyperframes@latest`): - Neuter the `--skip-skills` FLAG so it no longer skips the check; gate skipping on the HYPERFRAMES_SKIP_SKILLS=1 env var instead (the agent/user CLI path never sets it). Print a one-line notice when the ignored flag is passed. - Wire the env escape hatch into the init test helper (one place) and the CI smoke-test / windows-canary steps so they stay offline and fast. - Update the skill docs that previously told agents `--skip-skills` opts out. Temporary measure while skills.sh catches up — revert init.ts's `skipSkills` to `args["skip-skills"] === true` once it does (noted inline). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(ci): build @hyperframes/lint before core in Test and Studio jobs The lint extraction (#1756) made @hyperframes/lint a runtime dependency of core — core's compiled compiler/staticGuard.js imports it via the package's "node" export condition (./dist/index.js). But the Test and Studio-load-smoke jobs pre-build only @hyperframes/{parsers,studio-server} before packages/core, so loading core's dist at test / dev-server time fails with: ERR_MODULE_NOT_FOUND: Cannot find module .../@hyperframes/lint/dist/index.js imported from .../packages/core/dist/compiler/staticGuard.js Build the canonical pre-core set @hyperframes/{parsers,lint,studio-server} (the glob the root build script uses) in both jobs so it can't drift again. The SDK job is left as-is — it builds parsers+core only and passes. Reproduced locally: removing packages/lint/dist reproduces the exact ERR_MODULE_NOT_FOUND; building lint resolves it. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(cli): address PR #1768 review — stale comment + harden offline init - Update the stale interactive-path comment that still said "Opt out with --skip-skills"; the flag is neutered, opt-out is HYPERFRAMES_SKIP_SKILLS=1. - Wrap installAllSkills in ensureSkillsCurrent with try/catch. installAllSkills is already non-strict (swallows its own failures), but since --skip-skills no longer escapes this path, every init — including offline ones that fall through to "install anyway" — runs it. The guard guarantees a skills-install failure only warns and proceeds, never breaks init. feat(cli): skills freshness — version check, manifest, global install + multi-agent mirror (#1753)
* feat(cli): add skills version check, update, and freshness manifest
Give the HyperFrames skill bundle a content fingerprint so agents and
users can tell whether installed skills are the latest version, on any
platform that can run the CLI.
- skills-manifest.json (repo root): per-skill sha256 over the whole skill
directory; minimal {source, skills}, no version/timestamp so it is fully
deterministic. Generated by scripts/gen-skills-manifest.ts.
- `hyperframes skills check` [--json]: compares installed skills to the
manifest; exits non-zero when something is outdated (agent/CI gate).
- `hyperframes skills update`: thin wrapper over `npx skills update`.
- Passive nudge on render/lint/validate when skills are stale (24h cache,
same opt-out as the CLI self-update notice).
- "latest" resolved via `git ls-remote` + SHA-pinned raw URL to dodge
GitHub raw-CDN lag, falling back to the main branch URL.
- CI job + lefthook hook keep skills-manifest.json in sync with skills/.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(cli): add execFile to child_process mock in skills test
skills.test.ts mocks node:child_process but only declared execFileSync
and spawn. Loading skills.js transitively loads skillsManifest.ts, which
runs promisify(execFile) at module load, so vitest threw on the missing
execFile named export. Add a bare stub — these tests never invoke it.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(cli): init installs all skills; skills update pulls the full set
Make `hyperframes init` the single place skills are pulled in full, and
make "update" mean "get everything" rather than "refresh what's there".
- init now always installs/refreshes ALL skills (incl. ones not yet
present) instead of prompting "Install AI coding skills?" — opt out
with `init --skip-skills`. Both the interactive and non-interactive
paths pass `--all --yes` so the complete set is fetched.
- `hyperframes skills update` switches from `npx skills update` (which
only refreshes already-installed skills) to `skills add --all`, so it
installs missing skills too — the same install step init runs.
- SKILL.md documents init-installs-all and the new update semantics.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(cli): skills check treats missing skills as needing an update
The full skill set is now the goal (init and `skills update` both pull
all, including ones not installed), so a partial install is no longer
"a choice" — it's something to fix.
- diffSkills: updateAvailable is now true when anything is outdated OR
missing (local-only still doesn't count). So `skills check` exits
non-zero — and renders "Update:" instead of "up to date" — whenever a
skill is missing, not just when one is stale.
- The passive render/lint/validate nudge follows suit: it now counts
missing alongside outdated ("N skills out of date or missing"),
tracked via a new skillsMissingCount cache field.
- SKILL.md documents the stricter check.
Note: platforms that intentionally vendor only a subset of skills (e.g.
a Codex snapshot) will now see check report non-zero.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(cli): install/update skills straight from the GitHub repo
`skills add owner/repo` can resolve through the skills.sh registry, which
lags behind the repo — so `update` could install a stale version while
`check` (which resolves latest directly from GitHub) keeps reporting
"outdated", an endless loop.
Switch the install source to the full GitHub URL
(https://github.com/heygen-com/hyperframes), which makes `skills add`
git-clone the repo directly at latest main, bypassing the registry. This
covers `hyperframes skills`, `hyperframes skills update`, and `init`'s
skill install — all of which go through SOURCES. Now install/update and
check agree on what "latest" means.
The init "install skills" hint now points at `npx hyperframes skills
update` so the manual path uses the same GitHub-direct fetch.

* feat(cli): init checks skills against GitHub, installs only when stale
`hyperframes init` now runs the skills version check first and only
(re)installs when something is outdated or missing — instead of
unconditionally re-pulling every time. Re-running init on an
already-current project is now a no-op ("skills are already up to date").
- New ensureSkillsCurrent() helper, shared by both the interactive and
non-interactive init paths (no duplicated install logic).
- The check resolves "latest" straight from GitHub (same source the
install uses); best-effort — if it can't reach GitHub it installs anyway.
- SKILL.md updated to describe the check-then-install behavior.

* refactor(cli): address skills manifest review feedback
From the PR review (points 1, 2, 4, 5):
1. Remove the `local-only` skill status. checkSkills only ever hashes
manifest-listed skills, so a local-only status could never appear in
the end-to-end output — and making it appear would wrongly flag
unrelated skills (the `.../skills` dir is shared across sources).
diffSkills now reports only on manifest skills; skills on disk that
aren't in the manifest are ignored.
2. Drop the redundant per-directory sort in listFilesSorted — the single
final out.sort() is what guarantees a deterministic hash (verified:
manifest unchanged).
4. resolveLatestManifest local-path detection now uses path.isAbsolute,
so Windows absolute paths (C:\...) are treated as local instead of
falling through to a remote fetch.
5. fetchManifest validates the response shape (asSkillsManifest) instead
of a blind `as` cast, so a CDN error page served as 200 fails with a
clear error rather than a cryptic crash later in diffSkills.

* fix(cli): strict skills update + auto-discover any agent host
Address PR review (Magi blocker + James/Rames robustness):
- Blocker (Magi): `skills update` is the documented recovery path for
`skills check || skills update`, but it delegated to installAllSkills()
which swallowed missing-npx and failed `skills add` as "skipped",
exiting 0 even when nothing changed. Add a strict mode that throws on
failure; update sets a non-zero exit (init stays best-effort). New tests
simulate a non-zero `skills add` (exit 1) and the success path.
- Robustness (James/Rames #2): the upstream `skills` CLI installs into
~72 agent conventions; a hard-coded list (4, or even 11) can't track
that. Replace defaultSkillRoots with discoverSkillRoots — it scans cwd +
$HOME for any `<host>/skills/<manifest-skill>/SKILL.md` (plus the XDG
`.config/<host>/skills`), so detection is structural and future-proof,
no closed list. agentFromDir infers the host from the path.
- Tests (Rames #3): temp-fixture detection tests for every convention ×
{project, global}, scope priority, claude-code preference, the
no-install case, the --dir override, and an unknown/new host (proving
the no-closed-list property).
- Docs (Rames #4/#5): SKILL.md notes init's best-effort GitHub round-trip;
findRepoManifest climbs 16 levels (was 8) for deep monorepos.

* fix(cli): resolve CodeQL file-system race + de-flake Windows npx test
Two CI fixes:
- CodeQL (high, js/file-system-race) at gen-skills-manifest.ts: the
existsSync(outPath) precheck followed by writeFileSync(outPath) is a
check-then-write race. Read the committed manifest directly in a
try/catch instead (missing/unreadable ⇒ "no committed manifest"), so
there's no precheck to race against. Behavior is unchanged.
- Windows Tests: npxCommand.test.ts's real `npx --version` smoke test
cold-starts slower than vitest's 5s default on Windows runners and
timed out. Give the test 60s headroom (and a 30s exec timeout). Kept
as a real execution check — mocking would reduce it to a tautology.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(cli): repair garbled npx smoke-test timeout comment
The explanatory comment for the 60s timeout was scrambled across the
callback/timeout arguments, failing oxfmt --check (and thus preflight,
which in turn skipped preview-parity and failed the regression gate).
Move it above the it() call so it no longer sits between call arguments.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(cli): install skills once globally + symlink-mirror to every agent
The previous install path sprayed a full ~6.7MB skill copy into each of the
~70 agent conventions `skills add --all` knows (a fresh init produced 40+
dirs / 341MB, incl. a stray dotless `agent/` from the Eve convention).
Install ONCE, globally, as one faithful copy, then symlink it everywhere:
- `skills add <url> --skill '*' --global --agent claude-code universal
--copy` lands real files in ~/.claude/skills (Claude Code reads this at
global priority) and ~/.agents/skills (the shared universal store).
- mirrorGlobalSkills() fans that store out to every OTHER installed agent's
GLOBAL dir (~/.cursor/skills, goose -> ~/.config/goose/skills, ...) — but
only for agents present on the machine (marker dir exists), so nothing is
sprayed. Unix: per-skill relative symlink into the store (one source of
truth, auto-fresh on update); Windows: copy (symlinks need admin /
Developer Mode there — the same fallback upstream and gstack make).
Why global: skills are framework-general knowledge, not project content;
Claude Code (and most agents) prioritize the personal/global scope, so the
global copy is the one actually loaded — and it installs once instead of
multiplying per project.
The per-agent dir list is GENERATED from upstream's src/agents.ts at a pinned
tag (the `skills` package exports nothing importable), committed as
agentDirs.generated.ts and resolved env-faithfully at runtime
(XDG_CONFIG_HOME / CODEX_HOME / CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR honored). Regenerate with
`bun run --cwd packages/cli gen:agent-dirs` when the pin moves. Covers all 70
agents that define a global dir (eve/promptscript define none); the bare
project-dir agents (openclaw, astrbot) are namespaced globally, so the
stray-`agent/` footgun is gone.
`skills check` now scans global ($HOME) before project (cwd) to match the
runtime load order — so it reports on the copy the agent will really use, not
a stale project copy a newer global install silently overrides.
Test plan:
- skills.test.ts: install spawns the global --copy args, never --all; update
stays strict + exits non-zero on failure.
- skillsMirror.test.ts: Unix relative symlinks, Windows copy, XDG_CONFIG_HOME
honored, install-owned stores skipped, marker-gating, idempotent refresh,
generated-table shape.
- skillsManifest.test.ts: check is global-first.
- Full CLI suite green (981); oxlint / oxfmt / tsc clean; gen:agent-dirs
--check clean (offline + network produce byte-identical output).
- Benchmark (isolated HOME, local CLI): claude+hermes and all 70 agents —
~/.claude + ~/.agents real (19 each), every installed agent's global dir =
19 symlinks into the store, zero spray into unseeded agents, check
global-first. (The 9 "outdated" check reports are the separate skills.sh
registry lag, not this change.)
- .fallowrc.jsonc: exempt the codegen script's inherent parser complexity and
the parallel-case duplication in skillsManifest.test.ts (same rationale the
config already uses for SlideshowPanel.test.ts / hyperframes-player.test.ts).

* fix(cli): install skills with --full-depth so a fresh install reads as current
`skills add <url>` without --full-depth fetches from the skills.sh registry
blob ("Fetching skills"), which lags GitHub main by hours — so a freshly
installed/updated set read as ~9 skills "outdated" right after install, and
`skills update` couldn't fix it (it re-fetched the same stale blob → death
loop). --full-depth switches it to a real `git clone` of HEAD ("Cloning
repository"), the only path that yields the genuine latest.
- Add --full-depth to the global install args. Verified (isolated HOME): blob
path → 10 current / 9 outdated; --full-depth → 19 current / 0 outdated.
- The clone is heavier than the blob fetch, so set GIT_LFS_SKIP_SMUDGE=1 (skills
are text; the repo's LFS objects are unrelated binaries the install doesn't
need) and raise the spawn timeout 120s → 300s.
- Correct the stale comment that claimed a full URL already bypasses skills.sh —
it doesn't; only --full-depth does.
Benchmark (skills-bench, local CLI): B.death-loop and J1.init-detect-and-refresh
flip FAIL → PASS (install/update/init now 19/0); mirror smoke reports 19 current
/ 0 outdated. (spine still reflects the raw documented `skills add <slug>`
command — the upstream skills.sh path, not this CLI.)
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* docs(skills): drop --skip-skills from workflow init so new projects refresh skills
The creation workflows scaffolded with `hyperframes init … --skip-skills`, which
skipped the skills currency check. Now that init installs globally, is a no-op
when already current, and pulls the genuine latest (via --full-depth), there's
no reason to skip it: removing --skip-skills means every new project runs the
check and refreshes the global skill set from GitHub when it's stale. Add a
one-line note to each workflow (embedded-captions, faceless-explainer,
motion-graphics, music-to-video, pr-to-video, product-launch-video) and the
hyperframes-cli + /hyperframes router explaining what init does.
skills-manifest.json regenerated by the pre-commit hook to match the edited
skill bundles.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(cli): scope agent mirror to HyperFrames' own skills, not the whole store
mirrorGlobalSkills listed every */SKILL.md in ~/.claude/skills and fanned them
out — but that store is shared, so a user's gstack / personal / company Claude
skills would get symlinked (and, since linkOrCopy removes the target first,
could overwrite a same-named skill) into Cursor / Codex / Goose / etc.
Scope the mirror to HyperFrames' own skills via the upstream lock's source
attribution — the same definition the prune already uses
(skillsAttributedToSource) — never a directory listing. New
hyperframesSkillNames() reads the global lock and returns only skills attributed
to heygen-com/hyperframes; the mirror intersects that allow-list with what's in
the store. Empty (no lock / nothing attributed) → mirror nothing, never
everything.
Also fixes the cosmetic "director(ies)" log typo (now singular/plural-aware) and
extracts the fan-out into mirrorToInstalledAgents() to keep installAllSkills
under the complexity gate.
Regression: skillsMirror.test.ts asserts a foreign gstack skill in the store is
neither mirrored out nor allowed to replace another agent's same-named skill;
the skills-bench harness seeds ~/.claude/skills/gstack and asserts it never
leaks to any agent. 1045 CLI tests + lint/types/fallow green.
Addresses Magi's request-changes on #1753.

feat(skills): product-launch-video skill + consolidate motion knowledge into hyperframes-animation (#1745)
* feat(skills): product-launch-video + consolidate motion knowledge into hyperframes-animation
- Add the product-launch-video skill: shot-sequence architecture where each
visual frame is a time-coded shot sequence picked from a blueprint menu and
paced to the voiceover (anti-PowerPoint). Includes the frame-worker sub-agent,
story/visual/motion-design references, and audio/captions/transitions/
stage-assets/assemble-index scripts.
- Consolidate motion knowledge in hyperframes-animation as the single source of
truth: promote the updated atomic rules (31 -> 36) and rename product-launch-
video's archetypes into hyperframes-animation blueprints (13 -> 15, replacing
the old set). product-launch-video, faceless-explainer, and pr-to-video now
reference them via ../hyperframes-animation/{rules-index,blueprints-index}.md
and the rules/blueprints dirs. Fixes the discrete-text-sequence broken links;
blueprints no longer ship per-id runnable examples, so example references in
the consumers were dropped.
- Default HeyGen TTS voice to Marcia (deterministic; was the API's first English
voice, which drifts on catalog re-sort). Override with --voice.
- assemble-index pre-assembly frame guards: auto-repair a sub-comp root missing
canvas dims; hard-fail on <video>/<audio> inside a sub-comp; hard-fail on a
timed non-root element missing class="clip" or overlapping same-track clips.
- Lint/CLI: lint media inside sub-compositions as an error; stop false-positive
caption layout/lint findings; contrast/layout-audit skip elements hidden by an
invisible ancestor.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(skills): clear CodeQL alerts in assemble-index.mjs
- script/style blanking regex now matches closing tags with trailing
whitespace (</script >, </style >) — js/bad-tag-filter (high).
- drop the existsSync precheck before reading/repairing a frame file; read
directly and handle ENOENT, removing the check->write TOCTOU window —
js/file-system-race (high).

feat(cli): add skills version check, update, and freshness manifest (#1738)
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

- Docs (Rames #4/#5): SKILL.md notes init's best-effort GitHub round-trip;
findRepoManifest climbs 16 levels (was 8) for deep monorepos.

* fix(cli): resolve CodeQL file-system race + de-flake Windows npx test
Two CI fixes:
- CodeQL (high, js/file-system-race) at gen-skills-manifest.ts: the
existsSync(outPath) precheck followed by writeFileSync(outPath) is a
check-then-write race. Read the committed manifest directly in a
try/catch instead (missing/unreadable ⇒ "no committed manifest"), so
there's no precheck to race against. Behavior is unchanged.
- Windows Tests: npxCommand.test.ts's real `npx --version` smoke test
cold-starts slower than vitest's 5s default on Windows runners and
timed out. Give the test 60s headroom (and a 30s exec timeout). Kept
as a real execution check — mocking would reduce it to a tautology.

* fix(cli): repair garbled npx smoke-test timeout comment
The explanatory comment for the 60s timeout was scrambled across the
callback/timeout arguments, failing oxfmt --check (and thus preflight,
which in turn skipped preview-parity and failed the regression gate).
Move it above the it() call so it no longer sits between call arguments.

feat(slideshow): per-slide autoplay (manual-advance, opt-in) (#1708)
* feat(slideshow): per-slide autoplay (manual-advance, opt-in) Adds an opt-in `autoplay` flag to slideshow slides: when the presenter lands on a video slide, its `<video>` plays from the start. The slideshow still holds and never auto-advances — the presenter clicks Next when ready. This covers compositions whose own controls can't be clicked (the player renders the composition pointer-events:none). Plumbing (done, tested): - core: `SlideRef.autoplay?: boolean`, parsed + validated in parseSlideshow (a non-boolean autoplay rejects the manifest); carried through resolve. - controller: optional `PlayerPort.playSceneMedia(sceneId)`, fired only on forward `enterSlide` for autoplay slides (not resume/back/sync, so the audience — which mirrors the presenter's media events — isn't double-driven). - component: `playSceneDocumentMedia` reaches the same-origin composition iframe, finds the scene's `<video>`, and asserts playback; `stopMedia` (already wired on slide change) resets it. An autoplay token cancels a pending start when the slide changes. - tests: controller autoplay behavior + parser flag round-trip/validation (131 player + 22 core slideshow tests pass). KNOWN LIMITATION — runtime media-start needs the player media model (@vance): On current main the clip<->timeline binding from #1601 keeps every clip synced and *paused* to the held timeline frame, which wins against playSceneMedia's play() — so the clip does not actually start on main yet (it does on the pre-#1601 player). The correct fix is a sanctioned "let this clip free-run while the timeline holds" path in the player/runtime media controller. Flagging for Vance to wire the start into the #1601 media model (or rebase onto it) when back. The plumbing above is the stable surface that hook plugs into. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * refactor(slideshow): address code-review on per-slide autoplay - guard playSceneDocumentMedia behind resolveMode() !== "audience": the audience mirrors the presenter's media events, so it must not independently drive its own copy of the clip. - drop the per-enter window pointerdown/keydown "gesture retry" listeners, which leaked when muted autoplay succeeded without a gesture. The poll already re-asserts play(), so a gesture within the window is picked up next tick. - stop polling once the clip is advancing across two ticks (was re-asserting play() for the full window even after playback was confirmed). - cancel any in-flight autoplay loop on disconnectedCallback (bump the token). - split the poll into findSceneVideo + stepAutoplay helpers (keeps each small). - fix the enterSlide comment: autoplay fires from enterSlide (next/prev/ goToSlide), not resumeSlide (back/backToMain/syncTo). - parser: isOptionalBoolean type guard instead of a one-off helper; drop `as` assertions in the new controller test. 131 player + 22 core slideshow tests pass; lint/format/typecheck/fallow clean. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * docs(slideshow): autoplay skill guidance + address review nits Addresses review feedback on #1708: - skill: document per-slide `autoplay` in the slideshow standalone-harness reference — when to use it (video is the slide's primary content, its end is the advance cue) vs not (background/ambient loops, footage talked over), per Vance's guidance, before merge. - play() rejection is no longer blanket-swallowed: AbortError (timeline-sync seek interrupt) and NotAllowedError (gesture-gated autoplay) are expected and ignored; any other rejection is surfaced once via console.warn (Via nit 1). - clarify in the SlideRef.autoplay doc that it plays the scene's FIRST <video> (Via nit 2). feat(slideshow): auto-set interactive on inner player (#1712)
* feat(slideshow): auto-set interactive on inner player The slideshow now sets the `interactive` attribute on its inner <hyperframes-player> instances at mount time, so pointer events reach the composition iframe automatically. Removes the agent-compliance burden of having to remember to add `interactive` on every player tag inside a slideshow. Idempotent: an author-supplied `interactive` attribute (any value, including `interactive="false"`) is preserved. A MutationObserver also picks up players inserted dynamically after the initial mount. Standalone player usage outside a slideshow still requires the explicit attribute — that surface is unchanged. Skill guidance at skills/slideshow/SKILL.md updated to reflect the automatic behavior. * docs(slideshow): clarify interactive attribute semantics Per Rames R1 review feedback: the test comment implied `interactive="false"` is an author opt-out, but `:host([interactive])` is presence-matching per HTML boolean-attribute convention — so any value (including "false") enables pointer events at runtime. The slideshow's mechanical wire-up preserves any author-supplied value verbatim for DOM hygiene, not as a runtime opt-out. |

fix(skills): make media-use frontmatter valid YAML so skills add works (#1709)
The `media-use` SKILL.md `description:` was an unquoted YAML scalar containing a mid-value `: ` (`...the full cascade: project cache...`). YAML 1.2 reads that as a nested mapping and the parse fails with "Nested mappings are not allowed in compact mappings". `skills add` aborts the entire install when any one skill fails to parse, so this single file blocked installing all 19 skills for everyone following the README's `npx skills add heygen-com/hyperframes`. - Replace the offending `: ` with ` — ` (keeps the plain-scalar style used by the other 18 skills; the description already uses `—` as a separator). - Add a frontmatter guard to scripts/lint-skills.ts that flags unquoted top-level scalars containing `: ` — the exact ambiguity — so this can't regress. No new dependency. Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> |

docs(skills): route /slideshow as a workflow, not a domain capability (#1701)
* docs(hyperframes): route /slideshow as a workflow, not a capability Move /slideshow out of the domain-skill capability map and into the intent router as a top-level workflow. It is an intent-gated orchestration that produces a navigable deck, not an atomic capability loaded on demand. Also clarify that workflows need not output a video: /slideshow builds a deck and /remotion-to-hyperframes ports a composition. Adds the cheat-sheet row, a disambiguation bullet, and the per-workflow detail block. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * docs(hyperframes): sharpen /slideshow disambiguation to match its intent gate Reword the slideshow disambiguation bullet to match the skill's actual intent-confirmation behavior: an explicit "slideshow" request proceeds directly; an adjacent trigger ("deck / slides / presentation / convert this page") makes /slideshow confirm before authoring and switch to the appropriate non-slideshow workflow if not. Drops the inaccurate "may actually want a video" narrowing. feat(cli): shared TTS/BGM auth preflight + caption and skill-workflow fixes (#1697)
* fix: handle caption skin workflow * docs(skills): simplify the finalize step across video workflows - Drop --strict-layout; all skills use plain `hyperframes inspect` - Add the caption text_box_overflow false-positive note to faceless-explainer - On a failed check, the orchestrator makes the cheapest safe edit itself (no worker re-dispatch / Step 3 backtrack language) - Snapshot: glance at the stitched contact-sheet.jpg and move on Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(auth): onboarding-first `auth status` + shared TTS/BGM preflight When no HeyGen credential is configured, `hyperframes auth status` now prints registration-first guidance instead of a terse error: - Interactive / agent-driven sessions get sign-in guidance led by `hyperframes auth login` (the OAuth step that also creates an account and is shared with heygen-cli), and never steer users to a per-repo `.env`. CI / non-interactive runs get a terse note. Exit 1 is kept so the "am I logged in?" `$?` contract still holds. - It probes which local engine voice/music will fall back to (Kokoro / MusicGen, mirroring the skill resolution order) and whether their Python deps are installed, with a pip hint when missing. `--json` exposes `recommended_action` + `offline_engines` for skills to branch. - `doctor` gains matching "TTS (Kokoro)" / "BGM (MusicGen)" checks via the same shared probe (findPython/hasPythonModules extracted to tts/python.ts; provider resolution in audio/providers.ts). Every TTS/BGM workflow now relays this at Step 0 (setup) instead of improvising its own "missing key" prompt: pr-to-video, product-launch- video, faceless-explainer, website-to-video, music-to-video. The canonical behavior + key-priority table live once in hyperframes-media. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(pr-to-video): scale recommended video length to PR change size Step 0 led with a fixed ~60-90s length default. Now the recommended length is derived from the PR's diff stat (lines added+deleted, nudged by file count) on a tier scale (trivial ~20-40s → large ~110-180s, hard cap ~3 min), reusing the same PR peek already done to infer the angle. The agent states the basis when proposing it, and a huge PR with one headline change still stays tight. User can always override. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(captions): embed brand fonts whose files use separators brandFontFaces() matched font files by stripping only whitespace, so an underscore/hyphen-named file (TT_Norms_Pro_Bold.woff2) never matched the family key "ttnormspro" — captions shipped with no @font-face, the font_family_without_font_face bug. Now both family and filename normalize away all non-alphanumerics; families match longest-key-first so a parent family can't swallow a more specific one's files (TT Norms Pro vs Mono); each file is claimed once; "demibold" ranks before "bold"; and when nothing matches it warns loudly at build time instead of returning "". Also: parseFonts() falls back to h1/h2/title/hero display roles, and the frame-worker + caption authoring docs spell out that only shipped font files render — no system CJK/Devanagari families on the headless renderer. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(hyperframes-media): enforce sign-in preflight on standalone BGM/TTS A one-off "generate me a BGM" request went straight to local MusicGen without recommending sign-in: bgm.md/tts.md framed the no-credential path as an automatic fallback, so the generation path bypassed the Preflight stop, and the preflight used a bare `hyperframes auth status` that isn't on PATH in a fresh `npx skills` project. - Preflight now applies to one-off generation as well as workflows, uses `npx hyperframes auth status`, and says: if the CLI can't run, still recommend signing in and STOP — never treat "no credential" as a silent green light for local generation. - bgm.md and tts.md point at the Preflight before generating, reframing local generation as the fallback the user opts into, not a default. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * docs(auth): add Authentication & API keys guide Document signing in, the keys each capability (voice, music, capture) uses, their resolution priority, and the fully local fallback. Add the guide to the nav and cross-link it from the cloud deploy note and the CLI env-var reference. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(lint): strip HTML comments in a fixpoint loop (CodeQL) Single-pass <!-- --> removal can re-form a complete comment from adjacent markers (e.g. `<<!-- -->!-- ... -->`), letting a decoy <template> survive and hijack the template-boundary match. Loop to a fixpoint, mirroring the captions.mjs precedent; add a regression test that fails on single-pass (2 root findings) and passes on the loop. Also wrap the build-frame.mjs node:fs imports to satisfy oxfmt — the new copyFileSync import pushed the line past the width limit, which was the sole cause of the Format / Preflight CI failures. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(lint): strip HTML comments with a linear scan (CodeQL ReDoS) The fixpoint loop still ran a /<!--[\s\S]*?-->/ regex per pass, which backtracks O(n^2) on inputs with many unterminated "<!--" — CodeQL js/polynomial-redos (high). Looping the same regex (the prescribed fix) never addressed this; only the regex itself does. Replace it with an indexOf-based linear strip in utils.ts (stripHtmlComments), kept in a fixpoint loop so markers that re-form when a comment is removed are still stripped. 200k unterminated "<!--" now strips in ~3ms instead of quadratic time; behavior is otherwise unchanged — unterminated comments are kept verbatim, as the old regex left them. The re-forming regression test still guards it. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(auth): make TTS/BGM sign-in guidance accurate and runnable From team review of the not-signed-in onboarding: - OAuth is a `hyperframes auth login` feature only. The separate `heygen` CLI is API-key-only — `heygen auth login` stores a pasted key, it is not OAuth and does not create an account. Stop presenting the two CLIs as the same OAuth/sign-up step. - Use `npx hyperframes` in every imperative and runtime hint. Bare `hyperframes` is not on PATH on a fresh machine (command not found); only `npx hyperframes` is guaranteed. Also updates the JSON recommended_action. - Drop `heygen auth login` from the terminal/skill onboarding: it needs its own install and there is no `npx heygen`, so it was a command-not-found trap. The shared-credential fact stays in the reference docs. Covers the `auth status` guidance + tests, the Authentication docs, the shared hyperframes-media preflight (SKILL, requirements, tts, error hints), and the `npx hyperframes auth status` preflight in every TTS/BGM workflow (pr-to-video, product-launch-video, faceless-explainer, website-to-video, music-to-video). feat(telemetry): attribute renders to the authoring workflow skill (#1695)
* feat(telemetry): attribute renders to the authoring workflow skill Add an optional `--skill` flag to `hyperframes render` and tag the `render_complete` / `render_error` events with `authoring_skill`, so render usage can be broken down per authoring workflow. The value is slug-gated (a malformed value is ignored) and the existing anonymous / opt-out telemetry pipeline is otherwise unchanged. Each end-user workflow that renders now passes `--skill=<name>` on its render command: embedded-captions, faceless-explainer, graphic-overlays, motion-graphics, music-to-video, pr-to-video, product-launch-video, remotion-to-hyperframes, website-to-video. Not instrumented, by design: general-video renders freeform with no canonical render command to attach to, and slideshow produces an interactive deck rather than a rendered video. Both can follow up if per-skill numbers are wanted. * fix(telemetry): address review — shared slug util, equals-form flag, invalid-value warning - Extract the SKILL_SLUG regex + a normalizeSkillSlug() helper into telemetry/skill.ts, shared by the `events` and `render` commands (the regex was duplicated). `render` adopts normalizeSkillSlug (so it now trims the value, matching `events`); `events` references the shared SKILL_SLUG. + unit test. - `render` warns on a non-empty but invalid --skill value (e.g. a camelCase typo) so attribution isn't silently lost — stderr only, never fails the render. - embedded-captions render script: `--skill embedded-captions` -> `--skill=embedded-captions`. On an older CLI that does not declare --skill, the space form leaks the value as a positional and clobbers the project dir (resolveProject fails); the equals form is parsed as a self-delimiting flag and safely ignored. Verified via Node parseArgs(strict:false). Addresses review feedback on the PR (shared util + .trim drift, version-skew safety, invalid-value visibility). --------- Co-authored-by: kiritowoo <295860553+kiritowoo@users.noreply.github.com> |

refactor(skills): move product-launch / pr-to-video / faceless-explainer onto the script-driven architecture (#1635)
* refactor(product-launch-video): restructure onto script-driven architecture Move product-launch-video onto the shared script-driven authoring flow: build-frame remixes a hyperframes-creative preset onto brand tokens, audio routes through the shared hyperframes-media engine, per-preset caption skins, and every frame is authored as a directed shot. Removes the old bespoke scripts (captions/validate/prep/hoist/…) in favour of the shared lib. assemble-index.mjs keeps upstream #1629's blank/partial scene-file guard (reject an empty or markup-less scene file at assembly, before emitting data-composition-src, and re-dispatch) carried onto the restructured reader. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * refactor(pr-to-video): restructure onto script-driven architecture Move pr-to-video onto the shared script-driven authoring flow: ingest.mjs folds the gh PR artifacts into the synthetic capture package the shared backend (build-frame / captions / assemble-index) reads, add the mechanism beat, route audio through hyperframes-media, and remix a hyperframes-creative preset onto brand tokens via the shared lib. - Fix skill name: pr-to-video-refactor -> pr-to-video (match directory). - Drop a stale faceless-explainer-refactor reference in an ingest.mjs comment. - assemble-index.mjs keeps upstream #1629's blank/partial scene-file guard. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * refactor(faceless-explainer): restructure onto script-driven architecture Move faceless-explainer onto the shared script-driven authoring flow: every visual is invented (typography / abstract graphics / diagram / data-viz) and authored through the shared backend (build-frame remixes a hyperframes-creative preset onto tokens, audio via hyperframes-media, assemble-index builds the standalone index.html) using the shared lib. - Fix skill name: faceless-explainer-refactor -> faceless-explainer (match directory). - assemble-index.mjs keeps upstream #1629's blank/partial scene-file guard. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * chore(skills): refresh test-skills-fresh.sh workflow roster Update the install-and-verify harness to the current surface: 10 workflows (adds website-to-video, embedded-captions, graphic-overlays, slideshow; drops the removed footage-recut) and refreshed example prompts. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * style(product-launch-video): oxfmt storyboard.mjs Run oxfmt over lib/storyboard.mjs — formatting only, no logic change. Fixes the Format / Preflight CI check. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(studio): import commitGsapPositionFromDrag from its actual module The function was split out into gsapDragPositionCommit.ts in #1605, but the test kept importing it from ./gsapDragCommit, which no longer exports it — yielding 'is not a function' at runtime. Import from the correct module. Inherited main breakage (same fix as #1631); fixes the Test CI check on this branch independently of merge order. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * chore(hyperframes): refine router skill metadata tags Update the entry router's metadata tags (video / animation / router focus); oxfmt collapses the now-shorter metadata to a single line. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(skills): tighten caption comment-strip + document audio --only merge Review follow-ups (#1635): - captions.mjs (x3): the HTML-comment strip used a single global replace, which CodeQL flags as incomplete multi-character sanitization (a nested/partial pair can re-form a marker the single pass misses). Strip in a fixpoint loop instead. Input is preset-library content, not user-controlled, so this is lint- cleanliness, not XSS defense. - audio.mjs (x3): document that fetch-sfx (--only sfx) MERGES into the neutral audio_engine_meta.json sidecar — the engine reads prev and recomputes only the sfx section, so voices/bgm from the generate pass are preserved (review Q). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(skills): remove existsSync->write TOCTOU in workflow scripts Clears the 9 js/file-system-race CodeQL alerts (captions/audio/transitions x3). Each was an existsSync precheck followed by a later write of the same path: - captions.mjs: caption-overrides shim -> atomic writeFileSync({ flag: 'wx' }). - audio.mjs (sync-durations) + transitions.mjs (inject): drop the existsSync precheck and read directly, surfacing the same friendly error from a try/catch on readFileSync — no check->write gap. Behavior is unchanged (same error messages); these are local single-process deterministic scripts so the race was never a real risk, but this clears the gate. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(skills): paint root composition ground color in assemble-index Per-frame roots carry data-start/data-duration and get clip-gated against the global timeline at render, so only the first frame's window overlaps global 0 — a frame's own full-bleed background can't serve as the video ground, and every frame after the first renders on the bare body color (black). Paint the ground on the always-present root composition using the project's frame.md canvas color (the same role the caption skin maps to --cap-canvas); fall back to the body letterbox color when frame.md is absent or has no resolvable ground. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * chore(hyperframes): drop router-tag edit (moved to the foundation PR) The entry SKILL.md is rewritten wholesale by the frame-presets/media foundation PR (#1632); editing it here too guaranteed a merge conflict. Restore this file to main and let the router-tag tweak live with the rewrite in #1632, so the two PRs no longer both touch it. feat(skills): frame-preset library + shared audio engine (foundation) (#1632)
* feat(hyperframes-creative): add frame-preset library Add a library of ready-made visual frame presets (claude, biennale-yellow, blockframe, blue-professional, bold-poster, broadside, capsule, cartesian, cobalt-grid, coral, creative-mode, daisy-days, editorial-forest, …), each with a FRAME.md spec, a frame-showcase.html, and a per-preset caption-skin.html. Registered in the creative design-spec so workflows can remix a preset onto brand tokens. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(hyperframes-media): shared TTS/BGM/SFX audio engine Add a shared audio engine under hyperframes-media (scripts/audio.mjs + lib/ tts.mjs, bgm.mjs, sfx.mjs, heygen.mjs) plus a bundled SFX pack and manifest. Workflows resolve this engine by path (../../hyperframes-media/scripts/ audio.mjs) for text-to-speech, background music, and sound effects, so audio is authored once and reused across skills instead of duplicated per workflow. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(skills): gate render on user review; refresh router, core, general-video - hyperframes-cli: render is now user-gated — preview opens Studio (the timeline editor where the user can hand-edit anything, not just watch); never auto-render once checks pass, pause at preview and render only after approval. - hyperframes (router): tighten the entry SKILL.md description + routing. - hyperframes-core: rewrite SKILL.md and add script-format.md + storyboard-format.md references for the script-driven authoring architecture. - general-video: tidy the fallback-workflow description and routing table. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * style(hyperframes-creative): reformat frame-preset showcase HTML Run the HTML formatter over the frame-showcase.html files (indentation, self-closing void tags, one CSS declaration per line). Formatting only — no content or markup changes. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(hyperframes-media): correct wait-bgm field mapping and guard credential parse Two correctness fixes from review (#1632): - wait-bgm.mjs read audioMeta.bgm_path / audioMeta.bgm_enabled, but audio.mjs writes the path nested as bgm.path and the flag as bgm_pending. The detached generate path (Lyria/MusicGen) therefore always saw an empty path and exited status: disabled, silently dropping the music track even while generation was running. Read audioMeta.bgm?.path and gate on bgm_pending. - heygenCredential() had an unguarded JSON.parse despite documenting that it never throws — a malformed ~/.heygen credentials file crashed the engine at startup instead of degrading to no-credential. Wrap the parse and return null. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * chore(hyperframes): add router tag to entry skill metadata Fold the router metadata tag into the foundation rewrite of the entry SKILL.md. This file is owned by this PR (the full router rewrite); keeping the tag tweak here — instead of a separate edit on the pre-rewrite version in another PR — avoids a guaranteed merge conflict between the two. fix(cli): classify missing whisper-cpp as a setup gap, not a command error (#1628)
transcribe hard-failed with cli_error whenever whisper-cpp was absent. On Linux/Docker/CI (no Homebrew, no compiler toolchain) that is unavoidable, so it drove ~30k cli_error/day that are really "install the prerequisite" rather than bugs — and buried genuine transcription failures in the command-error budget. ensureWhisper now throws a typed WhisperUnavailableError when no binary exists and none can be built. The transcribe command reports that on a dedicated transcribe_unavailable metric instead of cli_error, and a new --optional flag lets pipelines skip captions and exit 0. Real transcription crashes still fail as cli_error. init and the skill pipelines already continue without captions. Also removes a stale doc reference to a `transcribe --provider groq` flag that does not exist. |

fix(skills): reject empty/partial scene files at assembly, not at render (#1629)
A scene worker that errors or is interrupted mid-write leaves an empty (or markup-less) compositions/<scene>.html. existsSync passed, so assemble-index emitted a data-composition-src pointing at it and the failure surfaced much later as the render-compile error "Composition HTML is empty or could not be parsed: compositions/scene-*.html" — the #1 render_error, ~4.7k users/day and climbing. All three assemblers (product-launch-video, faceless-explainer, pr-to-video) now validate scene-file content (non-empty + contains markup) right where they already read it for the duration cross-check, and die with an actionable "re-dispatch that scene worker" message before the broken project can reach a user's render. |

fix(slideshow): present media controls (#1601)
* fix(slideshow): harden media controls in present decks
* refactor(slideshow): clear Fallow audit findings
Decompose flagged high-CRAP functions and extract production-code
duplications so the audit gate clears.
- core/runtime/bridge.ts handler — replace the 14-branch if-chain with a
CONTROL_HANDLERS dispatch table; flash-elements payload handling moves
to its own helper. Behavior preserved (all existing bridge.test.ts
cases hit the same dispatchers via the public installRuntimeControlBridge
API).
- player/slideshow/SlideshowController syncTo — split into
isValidSyncTarget / isCrossSlide / rerootStackTo helpers. The
stopSlideMedia decision and the stack re-rooting are now individually
named; the public method is a 4-line orchestrator.
- cli/commands/validate.ts run — extract emitJsonReport / emitTextReport
so the orchestrator no longer carries the dual JSON/text branches.
Cuts the cyclomatic complexity flagged by fallow after the
shouldIgnoreRequestFailure signature expansion shifted the fingerprint.
- player/hyperframes-player.ts — _setIframeMediaMuted and _stopIframeMedia
shared a `try { iframeDoc = contentDocument } catch { return }` preamble
(clone group 15). Extract _getSameOriginIframeDocument(): Document | null
and have both call sites consume it.
- studio/panels/SlideshowPanel.tsx — the notes controller's debounce-tail
and explicit flush() shared the pending-drain pattern (clone group 16).
Extract a drainPending() closure both call.
- player/hyperframes-player.test.ts — collapse the new stopMedia / muted
tests' repeated Object.defineProperty(iframe, "contentDocument", { get })
shape behind a stubIframeContentDocument helper.
No behavior changes — refactor only. Existing tests cover the affected
paths unchanged.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 <noreply@anthropic.com>
* refactor(validate): split run further; ignore test dup parity
Second Fallow pass surfaced two minor follow-ups after the first cut:
- packages/cli/src/commands/validate.ts run + emitTextReport still
carried minor CRAP findings (43.1 / 37.1, threshold 30). Extract
printValidationResult / formatConsoleEntry / formatTotals /
emitFailureReport so run becomes a try/catch + delegation, well
below the threshold; emitTextReport drops the inline format loops.
- .fallowrc.jsonc duplicates.ignore: add hyperframes-player.test.ts
alongside the existing SlideshowPanel.test.ts entry. Same reasoning
documented there — parallel arrange/act/assert test cases are
intentionally self-contained for readability; collapsing them under
shared fixtures would couple unrelated scenarios (same-origin vs
realm media, audio-locked permutations, seek bridge variants).
No behavior changes — refactor + config-policy parity only.

fix(slideshow): address code-review findings #1580-1584 (#1585)
* fix(slideshow): address code-review findings #1580-1584
- player: bundle @hyperframes/core into the IIFE/global build (noExternal)
- player: resolve audience mode from ?mode=audience URL query, not just attr
- player: event-driven waitForScenes + loud failure when no slides resolve
- player: scope window keydown so Space/Backspace don't hijack the host page
- player: audience mirrors full position (branch + fragment) via syncTo
- player: next() reveals remaining fragments even at slide end; enterBranch ignores empty sequences
- core: harden extractScenes against null/non-object scene entries
- core: strict manifest validation; error on inverted ranges & empty hotspot targets; dedup fragments
- core/lint: accept data-end/timeline-derived scene durations (match runtime)
- core+studio: share ISLAND_TYPE + island regex from @hyperframes/core/slideshow
- studio: SlideList reflects manifest slide order; branch-slide authoring (notes/fragments/hotspots)
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* feat(player): slideshow fullscreen + presenter-view rework
- fullscreen toggle in the nav chrome (button + 'F' key); standard Fullscreen
API on the <hyperframes-slideshow> element, icon reflects state
- presenter console: live slide on top, speaker-notes panel below, with the nav
controls shown in-view; Present button hides once presenting (harness)
- audience (viewer) window: chrome reduced to a fullscreen-only control, no nav
- fix: audience / back() / backToMain() mirror stayed frozen on the first frame —
a bare paused seek does not repaint some compositions. resumeSlide now plays a
brief render-nudge (RENDER_NUDGE) past the target so the composition paints,
then onTime pauses at the hold
- refactor: extract reusable buildNavCluster() + wireChromeButtons(); rework
buildPresenterLayout into the bottom notes panel
- example: airbnb-deck presenter-test.html harness (Present button + 'F')
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(player): slideshow no auto-progress + presenter slide fits/pins
- navigation jumps to a static frame instead of auto-playing the timeline:
playTo() seeks to the hold (+ a brief RENDER_NUDGE to repaint) rather than
sustaining playback, so slides hold until the user advances
- presenter view: pin the live slide to the top and confine the player to the
region above the notes panel, so the player CONTAINS the composition — the
full slide stays visible (letterboxed) at any width and re-fits on resize;
its bottom is no longer cut off by the notes panel
- tests: seek targets updated for the render-nudge offset
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(slideshow): presenter nav flash, slide-1 boundary, branch buttons
Three presenter-mode fixes from testing the airbnb deck: (1) navigation flash — seek to the exact target then play forward to repaint, instead of seeking backward (t-0.2) which painted the previous scene at boundaries; split hold into holdTarget (logical) and holdAt (target+nudge, clamped to slide.end). (2) slide-1 boundary — no-fragment slides rest at the slide midpoint, not slide.end. (3) presenter branch buttons — surface hotspots as buttons in the presenter console (the on-slide pill is lost in the letterboxed view). Also extract paintChrome() to dedupe the three chrome-render sites.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(slideshow): stop presenter nav buttons flickering / dropping clicks
The presenter elapsed clock called render() every second, which rebuilt the
entire chrome (innerHTML) including the nav buttons — they flickered and any
click landing mid-rebuild was lost. The 1s tick now updates only the elapsed
text node; the nav buttons are rebuilt only on actual navigation.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(slideshow): CSP-safe nav hover, UUID editor ids, manifest version
Addresses review feedback on the split stack:
- CSP: replace the 8 inline onmouseover/onmouseout handlers on the nav
buttons with a [data-hf-nav-cluster] button:hover CSS rule (injected once
per document). No inline event handlers → works under strict CSP.
- IDs: studio sequence/hotspot id generation used Date.now() (sub-ms
collision on rapid clicks) — now crypto.randomUUID().
- Versioning: stamp version on the persisted manifest island (preserving an
existing one); add the optional version field + SLIDESHOW_MANIFEST_VERSION
to the core schema so future schema changes can migrate older islands.
These live on the review-fixes tip (consistent with the stack's fixup-on-tip
model); the touched code belongs to ss-player-b (#1590), ss-studio-a/b
(#1591/#1592), and ss-core (#1580).

* chore(ci): fix format + fallow gates for slideshow stack
- .prettierignore: exclude generated demo compositions (registry/examples/**/*.html)
from oxfmt — large video-pipeline output (GSAP/Three/WebGL), not hand-authored
source. Was failing 'Format' repo-wide (pre-existing on main via #1584).
- .fallowrc: exempt SlideshowPanel.tsx (health/complexity — section fan-out) and
the slideshowPanelHelpers.ts / SlideshowPanel.test.ts parallel-structure clones
(duplicates.ignore). File-level config, not inline comments — inline shifts line
numbers and breaks fallow's inherited-finding fingerprint (per existing rc note).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(slideshow): address PR review + CodeQL findings
- CodeQL #638 (parseSlideshow): complete the regex metachar escape in
slideshowIslandRegex (was missing backslash); add JSDoc on the factory +
lastIndex caveat (reviewer 5a/16).
- CodeQL #639/#640 + review items 13/17: remove registry/examples/airbnb-deck/
presenter-test.html — a generated test harness (postMessage w/o origin check,
proto-pollution) that was scope-creep into a fix PR and a 3rd duplicate island.
Regenerate locally via the scratchpad script when testing.
- Review item 15 (docs drift in skills/slideshow/SKILL.md): lint resolves scenes
by data-composition-id only (not .clip[id]); fragments are valid INCLUSIVE of
[start,end], not 'strictly inside'.
IIFE bundles core confirmed (0 external @hyperframes/core refs in the slideshow
global build). format/lint/fallow green.
* feat(cli): add 'present' command — serve a deck in presenter mode
hyperframes present [dir] starts a lightweight HTTP server, wraps the
composition in <hyperframes-slideshow> with its island inlined, and opens
the browser. A real HTTP origin is required for presenter mode: present()
opens the audience window via window.open(?mode=audience) and the two sync
over BroadcastChannel — neither works from file://.
- New utils/compositionServer.ts factors the server scaffolding shared with
'play' (resolve runtime/player/slideshow bundles, inject runtime, asset
content-types, bind to a free port); play.ts now uses it too.
- Errors clearly if the deck has no slideshow island.
- .fallowrc: exempt the play/present command entrypoints (validation + server
wiring) and the per-command startup/logging block from the complexity /
duplication gates.
Verified end-to-end against registry/examples/airbnb-deck: server serves the
wrapper + assets, the component binds and renders (counter 1 / 11).
* fix(cli): present renders the deck (player sizing + self-driving serve)
Two bugs caused a black slide area:
- The <hyperframes-player> had no positioning, so its iframe collapsed to
zero size — the (absolutely-positioned) chrome showed but the composition
didn't. Add position:absolute; inset:0 (matches demo.html).
- The composition was served with the engine runtime injected, which leaves
its timelines engine-paused (blank). Slideshow decks self-drive their own
timelines (like demo.html / the standalone harness), so serve them raw.
Verified end-to-end on registry/examples/airbnb-deck: cover renders, Next
advances 1/11 -> 2/11 and slide 2 paints.
* fix(cli): present plays slideshow sound effects
The composition (in the player's sandboxed iframe) posts
{ type: 'hf-sfx', name } to the parent on nav, but the iframe is
autoplay-blocked — audio must play in the parent that owns the user gesture.
Add the parent-side hf-sfx handler (the 4 standard clips advance/fragment/
branch-enter/back, served from the deck's sfx/ under /composition/sfx/),
gesture-unlocked and mute-aware, in both presenter and audience windows.
Verified: sfx serve 200 (audio/mpeg) and Next delivers [advance, fragment]
to the parent handler.
* feat(examples): softer mellow slideshow sfx for airbnb-deck
Replace the aggressive percussive pops with gentle sine-tone cues (warm
pitches C5/G4/E5/F4, 12ms attack + exponential decay, lowpassed) — advance/
fragment/branch-enter/back. Much lighter; fragment is the most subtle.
* feat(examples): whoosh + sparkle slideshow sfx for airbnb-deck
Replace the sine-tone cues with airy, designed sounds:
- advance: a soft whoosh (band-limited pink noise, bell-shaped swell)
- back: that whoosh reversed and darkened
- fragment: a light sparkle (staggered high chime blips)
- branch-enter: whoosh + a trailing sparkle (magical entry)
* feat(examples): directional whoosh + richer branch-enter cue (airbnb-deck)
- Going backward a slide now plays the reverse whoosh (back), not advance —
the sfx logic detects nav direction by scene order instead of firing advance
for every scene change.
- branch-enter is now a more interesting magical cue: a faint whoosh + an
ascending C5-E5-G5-C6 chime arpeggio + a trailing sparkle.
Verified: next then prev fires [advance, fragment, back]; no page errors.
* fix(cli): harden present sfx handler + mute-hover affordance (R2 review)
Addresses Rames R2 items 19-21:
- 20: the present audio handler reintroduced the CodeQL classes removed with
presenter-test.html — add an origin check (same-origin composition iframe)
and an own-property guard so a 'name' like __proto__ can't resolve to and
mutate Object.prototype.
- 21: assetContentType used a bare index lookup (ext='__proto__' -> prototype);
guard with Object.hasOwn.
- 19: the CSP hover rule erased the speaker button's muted color; add a
higher-specificity [data-hf-muted] [data-hf-mute]:hover override.
Verified: hf-sfx origin matches location.origin (guard passes), advance/fragment
still fire, deck renders + advances. Items 14/18/22 deferred (minor, pre-existing).
* fix(slideshow): address remaining R2 items (14/18/22) + re-remove harness
- 14: resumeSlide now mirrors enterSlide — a no-fragment slide resumes at its
midpoint (visible-at-rest), not frame-0; fragmented slides still resume to the
saved fragment or slide.start. Added a dedicated test naming the heuristic.
- 18: fullscreenchange swaps only the fullscreen glyph + aria (hoisted SVGs to
module consts) instead of re-rendering the whole chrome.
- 22: .prettierignore lists the specific generated demo compositions instead of
blanket registry/examples/**/*.html, so hand-authored example HTML still formats.
- presenter-test.html: a stray

feat(lint): warn when a sub-composition slot blanks before the host (#1542)
A sub-composition mount whose data-duration ends before the host composition's window leaves its slot blank for the remainder. The runtime behavior is correct (data-duration is the slot's visible window and takes precedence), but a full-bleed sub-composition shorter than the composition is almost always an authoring mistake that fails silently (issue #1540). Add the subcomposition_blanks_before_host rule, scoped narrowly to the high-signal shape — a sole/dominant external mount starting at ~0 whose window ends before the host's — so it stays silent on intentional short clips. Document the slot-window semantics in the sub-compositions reference, distinguishing the hold-through-slot case (#911/#917) from the blank-when-shorter-than-host case. |

fix(cli): default capture output to ./capture/ (auto-suffix capture-2/, capture-3/ on re-run)
`hyperframes capture <url>` (no -o) used to dump into `./captures/<hostname>/`, which buries the project two levels deep and silently merges re-runs into the previous dir — file-by-file, so leftover screenshots / assets from the prior run stay mixed in and any later `glob` sees both. Switch the default to `./capture/`. When it already exists, auto-suffix to `./capture-2/`, `./capture-3/`, … (up to -99). Each capture is its own clean directory — no crud, no friction, no clobber. The CLI prints a one-line note when the suffix kicks in so the user sees which dir actually got written. Explicit `-o <name>` is unaffected (still overwrite-tolerant). |
