CDK drops null-valued fields when it renders a Step Functions payload, so the construct's AudioS3Uri: null never reached the handler. The handler required AudioS3Uri === null for a v2 assemble and failed every CDK-deployed v2 render with PLAN_PROTOCOL_UNSUPPORTED. V2 reads audio from the plan manifest, so the field is now optional and only a non-null value is rejected. The construct and the SAM template stop sending it, and a test compares every Lambda task payload in the synthesized CDK definition against the SAM template.
