Ular Kimsanov 7224812143 docs(studio-app): show the app working, three new pages, today's UI (#6223)
* docs(studio-app): show the app working, three new pages, today's UI

* docs(studio-app): correct what the app does today (fact-checked against both repos' main)

Script: audio goes to HeyGen to transcribe; cuts wait in Pending video edits until Send; today's toolbar; suggested
cuts. Continue from Claude Code: Mac only, inside an agent session, catch-up after that hand-off, real output.
GitHub Copilot added. 4K price, 10-minute sign-in, Auto as the default, real sign-in errors, motion-guide limit,
the right-panel row. Looping clips pause and respect reduced motion.

* docs(studio-app): hold the Share page until Share launches (desktop-share is at 0%)

* docs(studio-app): Home screenshot from a regular account on b467 (Make, Reference, Script)

* Revert "docs(studio-app): hold the Share page until Share launches (desktop-share is at 0%)"

This reverts commit 201070ac7b7a551c5515c1a770be4a5e8ab36ab9.

* docs(studio-app): Export link label names its page

* docs(studio-app): where-is-it clips re-recorded on a regular account, b467

Staff-only items are gone (Pit Crew Academy, View as a user, the HyperFrames agent, Learn). # opens tools by typing;
the tools list and the @ menu match a regular account; the import clip ends before the folder list.

* docs(studio-app): new Script clip on a regular account: Cut, Pending video edits, Send 1 edit, 0:22 to 0:17

* docs(studio-app): Draw clip re-recorded on a regular account (Send 1 edit to Claude Code, 1 min 52 s edit)

* docs(studio-app): Export clip re-recorded on a regular account (1080p, 16 s); cloud rendering as the app shows it

* docs(studio-app): Video 1 change-a-clip demo re-recorded on a regular account (Up to $1.09 shown before Make)

* docs(studio-app): Share clips re-recorded on a regular account; the page mentions HeyGen's Checking step

* docs(studio-app): first-video demo re-recorded on a regular account (question cards, Send answer, 29 min storyboard, 10 min build)

* docs(studio-app): Reference page follows today's flow (the app reads the video, then Copy editing style or Video brief; What to swap); demo re-recorded on a regular account

* docs(studio-app): autoplaying demos start muted so browsers play them; Automatic updates in troubleshooting

* docs(studio-app): update home.jpg in place instead of replacing it

* docs(snippets): DocsVideo stops an autoplaying loop when Reduce Motion turns on mid-visit; play loads it again

* docs(studio-app): motion guides need the person's picture; drop a pending cut by deleting its row; remove two unused stills

The HyperFrames Studio app for Mac and Linux is the easiest way to make a video with HyperFrames. You describe the video, an
agent on your computer builds it, and you change it by typing, pointing at the picture, drawing, or commenting.
You do not need to write code. Framey, the small
green guide, points you to the next step along the way.
- **Free.** You sign in with a free HeyGen account. HeyGen media (avatars, generated clips, HeyGen voices) uses
HeyGen credits only when you ask for it, and your own agent bills its own plan, or nothing with OpenCode.
- **Mac:** Apple Silicon or Intel. **Linux:** 64-bit Intel and AMD, as a .deb or an AppImage.
- **Windows:** coming soon. Until then, make videos with [your AI agent](/quickstart#with-your-agent) or in
[Claude.ai or ChatGPT](/guides/mcp).

## Download and install
<Tabs>
<Tab title="Mac">
<Steps>
<Step title="Download">
Go to [hyperframes.dev/studio](https://hyperframes.dev/studio) and choose **Download for macOS** (in Safari or Firefox the button is **Apple Silicon**, with an **Intel** link next to it).
</Step>
<Step title="Install">
Open the downloaded disk image and double-click **Install HyperFrames**. The installer copies the app into
Applications and shows **Checking it is really from HeyGen**, which can take a minute or two. When it says
**HyperFrames is in Applications**, choose **Open HyperFrames**.
</Step>
</Steps>
If your Mac's Applications folder is locked for your account, the installer puts the app in the Applications
folder inside your home folder instead. If it says **The download looks damaged**, choose **Download again**. If
it says the check **took too long**, nothing was installed: choose **Try again**.
</Tab>
<Tab title="Linux">
<Steps>
<Step title="Download">
Go to [hyperframes.dev/studio](https://hyperframes.dev/studio) and choose **Download** next to Linux (.deb).
You get `HyperFrames-amd64.deb` for 64-bit Intel and AMD computers on Debian, Ubuntu and their
relatives.
</Step>
<Step title="Install it and open it">
In a terminal, in the folder you downloaded it to:
```bash
sudo apt install ./HyperFrames-amd64*.deb
```
Then open **HyperFrames** from your app menu.
</Step>
</Steps>
Prefer one portable file, or not on a Debian-based system? Choose **Linux (AppImage)** instead, then in the
folder you downloaded it to:
```bash
chmod +x HyperFrames-x86_64*.AppImage
./HyperFrames-x86_64*.AppImage
```
The AppImage is the whole app. Keep it anywhere you like and open it the same way next time.

## First launch
1. A short survey asks what you want to make and which agent you use. Every answer is optional, and **Skip all**
counts as an answer. What you pick decides where **Build your video** opens. The agent you name starts your first
chat if it is already set up.
2. Home opens with the **Create your first video** card. See
[Make your first video](/studio-app/first-video).
A notice also explains what usage data the app records. Choose **Got it** to dismiss it.
## Sign in with HeyGen
On first launch, the app asks you to sign in the first time you click something after the survey.
1. Choose **Continue with HeyGen**. Your browser opens hyperframes.dev.
2. Sign in there within 10 minutes. The browser sends you back to the app, which shows **You're in!** and carries
on with what you clicked.
If the sign-in runs out of time, choose **Continue with HeyGen** again. If you choose **Not now**, the app asks
again on your next click.
You can sign in or out at any time from **Settings** > **Account**.
## Updates
<HoverVideo className="hf-aside hf-spot" src="https://static.heygen.ai/hyperframes-oss/docs/studio-demos/settings-updates-v2.mp4" poster="/public/images/studio-app/spots/settings-updates-v2.jpg" hasAudio={false} label="Settings, Updates: Check for updates" />
The app updates itself. When a new version is ready, a round button appears in the bottom-right corner; click it and
the app restarts as soon as nothing is running, reopening the project you had open. To check by hand, use
**Settings** > **Updates** > **Check for updates**. If an update stalls, click the button again and choose **Try
again**, or **Download it instead**.
## Where your work is kept
- **Projects**: the hidden `.hyperframes-studio` folder in your home folder, or the folder you imported them from.
Each one is a normal HyperFrames project, so it also opens in the [browser editor](/studio/index) and the
[command line](/developers/cli).
- **Exported videos**: your Downloads folder.
- **Settings and sign-in**: `~/Library/Application Support/HyperFrames` on a Mac, `~/.config/HyperFrames` on Linux.
