title: "Make a product launch video with AI"
sidebarTitle: "Product launch"
description: "Paste your product's URL and get a launch video built from its real screens, colors and words. Then change anything."
---
import { DocsVideo } from "/snippets/docs-video.jsx";
Paste your product's URL and you get a launch video built from what's really there: its screens, colors, fonts and
words. HyperFrames is free, and a launch video takes the agent about 10 to 15 minutes to build.

Built from huly.io. The screens are captured from the real site, not mocked.
## Make it
**In the Studio app**, paste the URL into **Make something** with one line about the video, and choose **Let's go**.
Turn on **Start with a storyboard** to approve the shots as stills before anything moves.
```text
A 30-second launch video for https://example.com.
```
**Seen a launch you'd love to copy?** Open **Reference** on Home, paste its link (or pick one under **Pick a
reference**), and add your URL: you get that structure and energy with your product in it. Reference uses your
HeyGen API key, and the app asks for it the first time.
Add only what must be exact: the audience, a claim, the final action. Say **don't capture the website** when the
video should use only your brief. With your own agent instead of the app, start the message with `/hyperframes`.
## Pick the kind
- **Launch video**: the product's real evidence arranged into a story with one clear action at the end.
- **Product tour**: one complete task through the real screens, from the first click to the result.
- **Short social video**: one useful point, its proof, then stop.
No product to show? Make a [faceless explainer](/guides/faceless-explainer) instead.
## Prompts that work
When you want to set the structure, voice and music yourself:
> Make a 45-second 1920x1080 launch video for https://linear.app. Energetic but minimal, use the site's own palette and screenshots. Structure: hook stating the problem, 3 feature beats with UI captures and one-line captions, end card with logo + "Try it free". Female TTS voice, confident tone, subtle electronic BGM under -18dB.
<DocsVideo

loop
/>
*A launch film made from this prompt.*
### Say these when they matter
Set the ones you care about and leave the rest to the agent.
| Knob | What to say | Why it matters |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Capture vs no capture** | Give a URL to capture the real site; give a script or brief when there is no site to capture | Capture borrows the real palette and screenshots; without it the visuals are invented, so name your brand colors |
| **Palette source** | "use the site's own palette" | The agent builds from the captured brand tokens — you get the product's real colors, not a generic theme |
| **Structure** | "hook stating the problem, N feature beats with captions, end card with CTA" | Naming the beats keeps the hook and CTA from getting dropped |
| **Voice & tone** | "female TTS voice, confident" / "calm male voice" | Voice gender and tone are prompt words; the provider itself is the agent's decision — see [media and audio](/prompting/media-and-audio) for provider mechanics |
| **BGM level** | "subtle electronic BGM under -18dB" (or "no BGM") | A stated ceiling keeps music under the voice; leave it off entirely for a teaser |
| **Length & destination** | "~45 seconds", "9:16 for TikTok" | Sweet spot is 30-90s; destination sets the aspect (16:9 embed · 1:1 feed · 9:16 Shorts) |
<Tip>
Duration and destination are the two cheapest, highest-leverage things to state. Everything else the agent will choose well if you stay quiet — see [the specification dial](/prompting/overview#how-much-to-specify) for how much to delegate.
</Tip>
### Variants
<AccordionGroup>
<Accordion title="20-second vertical teaser (9:16)">
> Make a ~20-second 1080x1920 teaser for https://linear.app. Super minimal, just the hook. Beat 1 (0-4s): the problem in one line, big type. Beat 2 (4-16s): two feature beats, one UI capture each with a three-word caption. Beat 3 (16-20s): logo + "Try it free" end card, held still to the end. Use the site's own palette. Female TTS voice, confident; no BGM.
A teaser trades feature coverage for pace — fewer beats, one idea each. Keep the destination (Shorts / TikTok → 9:16) and let the agent scale the story to the shorter runtime.
</Accordion>
<Accordion title="Pasted script, no capture">
> Make a ~20-second 1920x1080 launch video from this script — use it verbatim: "Your CRM is three hours of busywork a day. AutoCRM logs every call, email, and meeting for you. 200 teams already switched. Try it free at autocrmhq.com." No site to capture — invent clean product-y visuals from the script. Male TTS voice, calm and confident; subtle BGM under -18dB.
With no URL there is nothing to capture: no screenshots, no site palette to borrow, so name your brand colors and fonts if you have them (or the agent invents a palette). Verbatim scripts set the duration — figure roughly 130 spoken words per minute, so a 30-second video wants a 65–70 word script. Saying "use it verbatim" settles whether the agent may restructure your words.
</Accordion>
<Accordion title="Site tour instead (same URL, tour brief)">
> Make a 30-second 1920x1080 tour of https://example.com built from its own screenshots. Calm, editorial pace — show the homepage, two inner pages, and the footer. Full narration, warm male voice. This is a showcase, not a sales pitch.
Reach for this when the goal is to *show the site*, not sell a product. It builds from captured screenshots and the site's brand assets. A launch or promo from the same URL is a different brief — ask to sell it.
</Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>
### Common mistakes
**Hard-timing a verbatim script.** With supplied narration, the real TTS duration sets the length — a hard number forces the agent to cut or pad your words.
- **Avoid:** `a 45-second launch video from this exact script: ...`
- **Instead:** `a ~45-second launch video from this script: ...`
**Dropping the structure.** Hook → value → evidence → CTA is there for a reason; drop the hook and the promo never answers "why should I care?"
- **Avoid:** `skip the intro, just list all six features back to back`
- **Instead:** `hook stating the problem, then 3 feature beats, then the CTA end card`
**Assuming the agent knows your assets.** Without a URL to capture there's no site to read; an unnamed logo or color is invented.
- **Avoid:** `use our brand colors`
- **Instead:** `brand colors #5E6AD2 on off-black; logo at assets/logo.svg`
<Card title="Practice it: Name the scene, say what it becomes" icon="graduation-cap" href="https://hyperframes.heygen.com/lessons/name-the-scene">
Free 20-minute lesson with a short video, a quiz and a brief to try. Swap taste words for things you can see: colors, speeds, moves, seconds.
</Card>
## Keep the product and its details connected
A full interface shows where the task happens. A close-up makes the important action readable. Ask for both when isolated feature shots lose the sense of a complete product:
```text
Show the real workspace, bring the relevant chart and result forward,
then carry the result back into the interface. Build the changing parts
separately, with short explanations where needed. Keep the actual labels
and values; do not invent controls or interactions.
```
For example, a monitoring film can establish the dashboard, draw its signal,
reveal a diagnosis, and return that result to the report view. The product's
real screens or supplied source must support that flow. The surrounding
interface gives context; the close-up carries the labels and numbers the viewer
needs to read.
If a draft feels like slides, ask the agent to change what happens within each
shot: reveal the signal, populate the result, or open the panel before moving
on. Adding camera movement over the same still page does not show the action.
Keep a short explanation of what changed rather than removing all text.
For a color revision, name the background you want and ask the agent to adapt
text and charts across every scene and transition. Check that labels remain
readable and that a later animation does not bring the old background back.
## Review the result
- Every product claim is current.
- The screens shown are realistic and use no private material.
- The interface stays readable while the video plays.
- Close-ups connect to the whole product, and components remain clear while moving between the two views.
- The opening proves the product quickly, and the ending asks for one clear action.
Then [change it](/studio-app/edit-with-the-agent): ask the agent, point at the picture in the Studio app, or edit by hand.
