feat(studio): timeline revamp with active-clip highlighting and hide controls (#2017)
Timeline UI - Highlight clips visible at the playhead in the primary color; others share one neutral color - Minimalist rounded clips, single-color track rows, no gutter icons or superscript labels - Per-track eye toggle and a per-element hide button in the design panel - Ruler zoom fixes: sub-second tick intervals and correct label formatting at high zoom - Sticky gutter so track controls stay visible while scrolling WYSIWYG visibility (data-hidden) - Runtime honors data-hidden (display:none), so hiding affects the render, not just the preview - HTML stays the source of truth; hide state persists and round-trips on reload Split several studio files to stay under the 600-line cap; pure relocations, no behavior change. |

feat(studio): expand sub-composition groups + children in the timeline (#1761)
* feat(studio): element groups — source mutations Wrap/unwrap source mutations (group geometry, the wrap-elements / unwrap-elements routes) that the studio group feature is built on. Studio UI lands in the next PR. * fix(studio): hoverable group interior + non-sticky drill-in Two group selection bugs with animated members: 1) Empty space inside a group's overlay didn't hover/select the group. Members animated outside the wrapper's static box (110px box vs 340px member union), so elementsFromPoint hit only the full-bleed background there. Add a member-union hit-test fallback: a point inside a group's live member bounds resolves to that group (innermost wins). 2) After drilling into a group and selecting a child, nothing else was selectable — out-of-scope resolved to null. Make drill-in non-sticky: interacting outside the drilled group re-resolves normally and exits the drill-in, so a later click on the group selects it as a unit again. * feat(studio): enable animation editing for static inline timelines The unsupported-pattern banner now clears for static window.__timelines["id"] = gsap.timeline() (the parser reports it editable), and the banner copy is retargeted to the genuinely-unsupported case: computed/dynamic keys (window.__timelines[var]). * fix(studio): correct keyframes + expansion for sub-composition timeline clips Two gaps for elements inside a sub-composition: 1) Clip keyframes rendered off-clip. The keyframe cache computes clip-relative percentages from the element's start/duration, but sub-comp internals aren't in the timeline elements list, so duration defaulted to 1s and percentages blew past 100%. Resolve the timing basis from the sub-comp HOST's bounds (via domClipChildren, since the host's data-composition-src is stripped in the rendered DOM). Shared resolveClipTimingBasis used by both cache populators, which now re-run when the sub-comp children appear. 2) Only GROUPED sub-comp children expanded. Generalize the DOM-children collector to gather id'd children of the sub-comp inner-root (grouped OR ungrouped), descending through id-less structural wrappers; one level into groups for drill-in. Ungrouped pills now expand into timeline rows too. |

chore(studio): remove all console.* calls from studio package (#1691)
* chore(studio): remove all console.* calls from studio package * chore(studio): address review — remove dead stubs, restore consent notice - Delete empty if-blocks left after console removal (snapTargetCollection, Player asset-poll, useTimelineSyncCallbacks 5s probe, useGestureRecording dev guard + now-unused isDevBuild) and the stale "surface in dev" comment. - Drop the dangling no-console pragma + dead duplicate-id branch in sourcePatcher. - Restore the one-time telemetry consent disclosure in showNoticeOnce (kept behind a pragma — it is a user-facing notice, not debug noise). - Remove the missed timelineIcons console.warn while preserving the `tag || "div"` null-safety fallback. - Route caption auto-save failures (a data-loss path) through telemetry instead of swallowing silently. - Restore the accidentally-clobbered css-var-fonts output.mp4 fixture. feat(studio): instant, flicker-free manual editing (#1605)
* chore(producer): shim __filename/__dirname in the CJS banner Bundled CJS deps like wawoff2 call __dirname; without the shim they throw "__dirname is not defined in ES module" at render time. Also ignore .zed/. * chore(producer): use a template literal for the CJS banner (review nit) * feat(core): add GSAP keyframe + motion-path source mutations Array-form keyframe removal in both the recast and acorn writers, plus update/add/remove-motion-path-point and add-motion-path. Exclude _auto and data from tween property-group classification. * fix(core): address #1554 review — data-exclusion test, split-fix doc, motion-path sentinel, parity blocks - Regression test for the `data` GSAP-key exclusion (parallel to _auto). - splitAnimationsInScript: documented that .fromTo()/.to() correctly stay out of the from-branch (only .from() reverts) and the <= boundary; added mid-flight straddle tests. - addMotionPathToScript failure path returns id: null (was empty-string sentinel); caller updated. - Parity blocks for addKeyframeToScript array-form + updateKeyframeInScript (mirroring removeKeyframeFromScript). Surfaced a latent acorn array-form partial-props merge bug — documented as it.skip with a ready assertion (acorn cutover follow-up). * feat(core): route motion-path mutations through studio-api + fix clip stamping Wire the new mutations into the file save route. Only authored clips suppress descendant stamping, so auto-stamped animated scenes can inline-expand. Hide in-flow timed clips with `display:none` only when they are LEAF clips (no nested timed clips). `display:none` on a container removes its whole subtree, hiding descendants that are still inside their own visibility window — e.g. an in-flow composition root whose effective window clamps to the timeline end would black out a child video that should still show (the hdr-hlg regression). Containers keep `visibility:hidden`, which a visible descendant can override; only leaves leave the flow, which is all the split-overlap case needs. * feat(core): strip legacy path-offset/rotation + drop obsolete studio lint rule A position or rotation add/set mutation makes the GSAP timeline the single source of truth for that channel, so any lingering --hf-studio-offset / --hf-studio-rotation CSS var must be cleared to avoid double-applying. stripStudioEditsFromTarget now clears both channels, and the add-strip fires for the position AND rotation property groups. Also removes the obsolete `gsap_studio_edit_blocked` lint rule: it warned that Studio cannot save drag/resize edits to elements in a registered timeline — the exact premise the single-source work inverts (the timeline is now the edit target). Removed the rule, its now-unused TIMELINE_REGISTRY_ASSIGN_PATTERN import, and its 5 tests. * fix(core): address #1555 review — complete hold-sync, invalidate clip cache, strip rotation channel - HOLD_SYNC_MUTATION_TYPES: add add-motion-path (load-bearing — addMotionPathToScript authors past t=0 → first-frame snap-to-(0,0) without the hold), update-meta, shift-positions, scale-positions, split-animations. (add stays out: flat tweens only, syncPositionHoldsBeforeKeyframes is a no-op for non-keyframed tweens.) - init.ts: timedClip in-flow/leaf WeakMaps now invalidate on clipTreeSignature change; visible/hidden branches both go through isTimedClipInFlow (was .get() by accident). - keyframesWriteRotation mirrors keyframesWritePosition so a rotation-only keyframe set strips the stale --hf-studio-rotation channel. * feat(studio): GSAP runtime read layer + shared helpers * fix(studio): address #1607 review — cold-parse vs fetch-error budgets, isZeroDurationSet, array-ease tests - useGsapAnimationFetchFallback: discriminate resolved/fetch-error/cold; only the cold (warm-but-zero) race gets the full ~600ms retry budget — a hard fetch error retries once. - Extract isZeroDurationSet (was !(duration>0) duplicated); rejects NaN, documents intent. - parsePercentageKeyframes: cite GSAP even-index spread; tests that a per-entry/interior ease is stripped without shifting the other keyframes' percentages. * feat(studio): GSAP drag/commit/bridge editing infra * fix(studio): address #1608 review — facade awaits commit, strict stale-parse guard, clearProps restore BLOCKER: useSafeGsapCommitMutation now RETURNS the (.catch-chained) commit promise and the commitMutation facade awaits it — so await session.commitMutation(...) resolves AFTER the server save, fixing both consumers (useEnableKeyframes + useGestureCommit's showToast/requestSeek/idle, which were firing before the save landed). SafeGsapCommitMutation return type widened void→Promise<void> (fire-and-forget consumers ignore it). - stale-parse guard uses hasNonHoldTweenForElement (a leftover hold set no longer counts as live). - commitFlatViaKeyframes snapshots dragged gsap values before clearProps + restores after seek, so a failed commit leaves the dropped pose, not a cleared element. * feat(studio): motion-path geometry + commit helpers * docs(studio): address #1609 review — document occlusion fade-in invariant, donut limit, nearestPointOnPath t-semantics * feat(studio): on-canvas motion-path overlay * fix(studio): address #1610 review — scope dblclick to pan-surface, kind-aware geometry guard, gate createMode, screen-space drag threshold * feat(studio): keyframes flag, gesture recording + timeline/selection refinements * fix(studio): address #1611 review — fetch-first keyframe path, gated hydration, dev-gated debug + gesture warn, per-group gesture tweens - useEnableKeyframes: parse current source first (null-vs-[] distinction) so a delete-all's empty parse isn't overridden by a stale selectedGsapAnimations cache. - useStudioUrlState: freeze the hydration effect's time dep once hydrated (was re-running every tick). - useGestureRecording: dev-gated console.warn when the live-preview runtime throws (was silent). - playerStore: gate window.__playerStore behind dev (guarded import.meta.env.DEV). - useGestureCommit: partition recorded keyframes by property group → one add-with-keyframes per group, so a mixed gesture no longer yields an untagged legacy tween. * feat(studio): single-source manual offset + rotation via the GSAP timeline Dragging or rotating an element writes into the GSAP timeline (the single source of truth) instead of a parallel --hf-studio-offset / --hf-studio-rotation CSS var: static elements commit a tl.set (idempotent on re-edit), tweened elements edit keyframes, and the live preview moves via gsap.set so what you see equals what is written and renders. Removes the dual-channel CSS-var/transform reconciliation behind the fling / disappear / runaway / double-stack / wrong-start bug class — for BOTH position and rotation (gesture base read from the gsap transform, gsap.set live preview, tl.set/ keyframe commit, dropped the handleDom*Commit CSS fallbacks). Subcompositions edit the same single-source way, which surfaced and fixes: - resolve a subcomp element's source file via the composition-id map (the runtime drops the source linkage when inlining the subcomposition); - a selected element's selection box AND motion path use basic visibility, not the occlusion heuristic (a backgroundless opacity-1 scene above it is not an opaque cover); - soft reload rebuilds ONLY the committed composition's timeline, leaving other compositions' timelines intact (no cross-composition revert); - read keyframes from the element's OWN composition timeline (scan all timelines, not the first unstable key); - delete-all uses a soft reload too, so editing no longer hard-reloads the iframe. * fix(studio): address #1567 review — drop drag-intercept flag, harden softReload onerror, tighten runtime ladder, per-group gestures - DROP STUDIO_GSAP_DRAG_INTERCEPT_ENABLED: single-source GSAP intercept is the only position/rotation channel; the false branch silently killed drag+rotate (and let GSAP elements into the keyframe-corrupting CSS path). Removed flag + dead branch + env def + tests. - gsapSoftReload: plugin onerror no longer fakes success — signals onAsyncFailure so the caller full-reloads; honors __hfMotionPathPluginLoading so a concurrent reload can't queue a dup script. - gsapDragCommit: resolveDragRuntime narrows the as-any ladder; a mid-seek throw logs + drops partial reads (no phantom identity) and re-applies the drag override in finally. - MotionPathOverlay: park-timer cleanup keyed on animId change. - useGestureCommit: partitionKeyframesByGroup wraps the add-with-keyframes sites (per #1611 review). * feat(studio): patchRuntimeTweenInPlace — update a tween's values in place Defensive runtime helper: locate the element's tween in window.__timelines via the shared resolveRuntimeTween scan, update its set/keyframe vars, invalidate, and re-seek the playhead — without re-running the whole composition. Returns false (caller falls back to soft reload) for any shape it can't safely patch (no tween, dynamic/computed keyframes, motionPath arc, channel mismatch, or any error). Foundation for instant, flicker-free manual edits. * fix(studio): address #1612 review — channel-aware set resolution + decline dynamic-expression patches - resolveRuntimeTween gains an optional channels[] hint; for kind:set it prefers the set whose vars carry one of the patched channels and never returns a disjoint-only set (e.g. won't write {x,y} into a co-located {rotation} set). patchRuntimeTweenInPlace derives channels from the props. - patchSet declines (returns false → soft reload) when overwriting a string/dynamic vars[ch], instead of silently dropping the computed expression. * feat(studio): instantPatch fast path in runCommit A commit carrying an instantPatch option tries patchRuntimeTweenInPlace first; on success the preview updates in place with NO reload (instant), on false it falls back to the existing soft reload. Extracts the preview-sync tail into a testable applyPreviewSync helper. No behavior change when instantPatch is absent. * feat(studio): route static position/rotation set drags through instantPatch Static-element position and rotation set commits now attach instantPatch{selector, change:{kind:set}} so the drag updates in place with no reload. Structural ops (new tween add, delete-all, convert/split/materialize) and keyframe edits deliberately omit it and keep the soft reload — keyframe instant-patch needs object-form keyframe support in patchRuntimeTweenInPlace (deferred). * fix(studio): address #1613 review — derive instantPatch from the mutation, patch both coalesced commits, wire onAsyncFailure - commitStaticGsapPosition/Rotation derive instantPatch.change.props from the actual update-property mutation(s) sent (one source of truth → findUnsafeMutationValues-validated values flow into the patch; can't drift). - Coalesced x/y: the intermediate x commit also carries instantPatch{x}, the y commit {x,y}, so a second-POST failure still leaves the preview patched for what persisted. - applyPreviewSync passes reloadPreview as onAsyncFailure (plugin-CDN load error → full reload); per U4 the synchronous false still does NOT escalate. - (channel disambiguation from #1612 verified end-to-end: {x,y}→position set, {rotation}→rotation set.) * feat(studio): no full iframe remount for soft-reloadable edits A softReload edit (and the SDK single-script refresh) no longer escalates to a full reloadPreview() iframe remount when applySoftReload returns false — the live gsap.set already shows the value, and a remount is the worst flash + re-inlines subcomps (reverting their keyframes). verifyTimelinesPopulated now checks the expected target keys the re-run registers, so a correct scoped re-run doesn't spuriously report empty. Full reload stays only for the structural (no-softReload) and ambiguous-script paths. * feat(studio): pre-load MotionPathPlugin so motion-path edits don't async-flash ensureMotionPathPluginLoaded() runs once at the preview iframe-load seam (NLELayout onIframeLoad), eagerly loading + registering MotionPathPlugin without killing the timeline. So when a user adds a motion path to a composition that didn't originally use one, the soft reload runs synchronously instead of taking the kill-then-await-CDN async path (the flash). Idempotent + defensive; the existing async fallback stays for genuine cold-start/CDN-failure. * fix(studio): don't re-save + reload when source editor syncs externally The SourceEditor's CodeMirror update listener fired onChange on ANY docChanged — including the programmatic dispatch that syncs external content (e.g. a manual-edit commit writing the source back into the open editor). That made the editor re-save the file and bump refreshKey, fully reloading the preview iframe on every drag/keyframe edit — defeating the in-place instant patch and causing the flash. Annotate the programmatic sync (ExternalSync) and skip onChange for it, so only real keystrokes save. * fix(core): inject MotionPathPlugin into preview when a composition uses motionPath A studio-created motion path writes a gsap motionPath tween into the single-source timeline, but the preview HTML only loaded gsap core — so the first render threw "Invalid property motionPath ... Missing plugin?". Detect motionPath usage and inject MotionPathPlugin right after the composition's gsap script, version-matched to it. * fix(studio): dedup __hfMotionPathPluginLoading type decl (restack artifact) * fix(studio): address #1605 review — distinguish soft-reload failure modes + observability, SourceEditor focus guard BLOCKER: applySoftReload now returns SoftReloadResult ('applied' | 'verify-failed' | 'cannot-soft-reload') instead of a bare bool. applyPreviewSync + sdkRefresh escalate to a full reloadPreview() on the PERMANENT 'cannot-soft-reload' (no gsap/rebind hook/scopable key/script, or sync re-run threw) — fixing the silent-stale-preview U4 dropped — but still suppress the TRANSIENT 'verify-failed' (live gsap.set is correct). Telemetry: gsap_soft_reload_outcome (origin/result/escalated) + gsap_instant_patch_fallback, so the U4 invariant is enforced, not asserted. - SourceEditor: skip the programmatic external-sync replace while the editor is focused, so an in-flight commit doesn't clobber the user's uncommitted keystrokes (ExternalSync kept for unfocused). - Verified ensureMotionPathPluginLoaded already guards __hfMotionPathPluginLoading (no double-append). * fix(core): align __clipTree and __clipManifest ids via stableClipId Timeline inline expansion was dead for nested children inside index.html: the tree keyed id-less elements by a synthetic __clip-N while the manifest keyed them null, so parent<->child never joined. Both now resolve identity through stableClipId (id || data-hf-id), which every generated element has. * fix(core): strip baked runtime + tag comp root in preview assembly Comps that ship a baked inline runtime were double-loaded (preview injects its own) and the baked copy failed to parse inline (Unexpected token '<'). Strip it in buildSubCompositionHtml + the disk-fallback preview path. Also tag the comp root with data-composition-file so the studio resolves a comp's top-level elements to the right source file instead of defaulting to index.html (which made the GSAP panel parse the wrong, multi-timeline file). * feat(studio): set motion-path destination from a toolbar toggle Replaces the double-click-on-canvas UX (which painted text over the preview) with a 'Set motion destination' toggle next to Snap/Grid, shown only when the selected element can take a path. While armed, one canvas press places the destination. Also removes the dead TimelinePropertyRows component. * fix(studio): center timeline keyframe diamonds on their percentage Dropped clampDiamondLeft, which forced boundary keyframes fully inside the clip so a 0% diamond sat half a diamond right of the 0% point. Each diamond's midpoint now sits exactly on its % (the clip is overflow-visible). * fix(studio): resize static elements via tl.set, not a single-stop keyframes tween Resizing an element with no size animation wrote keyframes:{ <playhead%>: {width, height} } — one mid-point stop GSAP can't interpolate, so it rendered NaN/0 dimensions at every other frame and the element vanished (worst off 0%). Added commitStaticGsapSize (mirrors commitStaticGsapPosition): a static resize now writes tl.set({width, height}), held at all frames; re-resizing updates it in place. * fix(studio): negative-cache failed media probes Only successful probes were cached, so CORS/404 cross-origin media was re-probed every rAF-driven timeline re-derive, flooding the console. Remember failed URLs and skip them. * fix(studio): type window.setTimeout handle as number ReturnType<typeof window.setTimeout> infers NodeJS.Timeout when @types/node is present and clashes with the DOM number the call returns. Type it number. * fix(studio): drag/resize disappearance, stale-ID duplicates, soft-reload clearProps - Fix soft-reload clearProps destroying element inline styles — save cssText, clear, restore, strip only transform - Fix resize no-op on re-resize: delete+add instead of two update-property - Route set tweens through static resize path (convertToKeyframes skips sets) - Re-fetch animation ID before drag commit to prevent stale-ID duplicates - Guard editDebugLog for Node test environments - Fix NLELayout setState-during-render (move reset to useEffect) - Stop SnapToolbar pointer events propagating to canvas deselect handler - Enable click-to-add waypoints on cubic motion paths - Add whole-path drag offset (Alt+drag shifts all keyframes together) - Add Canvas shortcuts section to ShortcutsPanel - Extract useMotionPathData + commitGsapPositionFromDrag (filesize compliance) - Delete dead code (getElementDepth, isElementVisibleInPreview, unused exports) |

feat(studio): timeline inline expansion + __clipTree runtime primitive
When a child element inside a sub-composition is selected, the timeline replaces the parent scene clip with the deepest-level siblings. Deselect or selecting outside collapses back. Expanded clips are fully editable — move, resize, delete, and split — addressed by their real DOM id with timeline time rebased onto the sub-comp they live in. Runtime: - New window.__clipTree API: a read-only hierarchical ClipNode tree (id/parentId/children + backing element) so Studio can derive parent/child relationships for inline expansion. Studio: - useExpandedTimelineElements derives the expanded view from selectedElementId + clipParentMap (pure useMemo, no useEffect). Each child rebases onto its immediate sub-comp host (start + sourceFile), so multi-level nesting targets the right file. - NLELayout routes expanded-clip edits through the same handlers top-level clips use, in local coordinates — edits save to the sub-comp source and reflect via reloadPreview (no separate DOM-patch path). This is the canonical update; there is no reactive observer. - findMatchingTimelineElementId resolves sub-comp children with no top-level element to `sourceFile#id`. - Razor tool enabled by default; studio_razor_split analytics event fired on single and split-all. - O(n²) isElementGsapTargeted extracted to gsapTargetCache.ts with a cached Set+WeakSet O(1) lookup. |

feat(studio, cli): music beat detection with timeline guides + headless beats CLI (#1424)
* feat(studio, cli): music beat detection with timeline guides + headless beats CLI Beat detection for music tracks: the Studio draws beat guides on the active track, beats are user-editable and persist to a project file, and a new `hyperframes beats` CLI generates that file headlessly before the Studio opens. Detection lives in @hyperframes/core/beats (shared by Studio + CLI): an energy onset detector cross-validated with bpm-detective, regularized to an octave- aligned grid, silence-gated, with per-beat loudness. Music-only — an <audio data-timeline-role="music"> is analyzed; voiceover is excluded. Studio: green beat lines + draggable dots on the selected track; add at playhead, drag to move, double-click to delete (audio scrubs); edits persist to beats/<audio>.json and are undoable (interleaved with file history). CLI: `hyperframes beats [dir]` runs the same detection in headless Chrome (prebuilt browser bundle in dist) and writes the beat file. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: Miguel Ángel <miguel07alm@protonmail.com> * feat(studio): timeline beat-grid + zoom UX refinements - Center-anchored magnify: zooming via the toolbar/slider keeps the time at the viewport center fixed instead of anchoring at the left. Pinch still anchors at the cursor. - Move-snap to beats: dragging a clip snaps whichever edge (start or end) is nearest a beat, matching the existing resize-edge snapping. - Beat lines on track backgrounds: faint full-height beat lines now paint behind the clips on every track lane (brightness scales with loudness); the green dots stay on the active track's top bar. - Waveform follows zoom: bars fill the full clip width and resample the windowed peaks, so the waveform stretches with zoom instead of stopping partway across a widened clip. - Beat dots centered in the top bar: align the dot band to the clip top (CLIP_Y) so the dots sit centered in the dark bar instead of being bisected by the clip's top border. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: Miguel Ángel <miguel07alm@protonmail.com> * fix(studio): preserve media sourceDuration across element re-derivation Moving a non-music clip re-derived the timeline elements into fresh objects whose sourceDuration the DOM scan hadn't loaded yet. The async probe skips srcs already in its cache, so the value was silently dropped — trimFractions then returned no window and the trimmed music waveform reset to the full source pinned at the track start. Re-apply the cached probe duration synchronously on every derivation (applyCachedSourceDurations) and extract the async probe loop into probeMissingSourceDurations to keep useTimelinePlayer within the file size limit. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: Miguel Ángel <miguel07alm@protonmail.com> * feat(studio): skip beat-snap on the music track, highlight move-snap target The music track defines the beats, so moving or trimming it no longer snaps to its own beats (isMusicTrack guard on both the move and resize snap paths). Moving another clip snapped only on drop with no cue. snapMoveStartToBeat now also returns the beat it will snap to; BeatBackgroundLines draws that beat's line as a bright neon-green glow while the clip's edge is within the snap region, so the target is visible before drop. Also drops .commitmsg.tmp, accidentally committed via git add -A. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: Miguel Ángel <miguel07alm@protonmail.com> * feat(studio): hide playhead while dragging a beat; default beat dots to music track - Dragging a beat dot now hides the playhead guideline (new beatDragging store flag set on beat pointer down/up) so its line doesn't track the scrub and clutter the beat being moved. - Beat dots render on the selected track, falling back to the music track when nothing is selected. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: Miguel Ángel <miguel07alm@protonmail.com> * fix(core): remove polynomial-ReDoS regex from audioRelPathForSrc CodeQL js/polynomial-redos: the lazy `.+?` followed by an optional trailing `[?#].*$` backtracks polynomially on crafted `/preview/...` inputs. Parse the preview-relative path with indexOf/slice instead, and strip the query/hash with a single linear char-class search. Behavior is unchanged for all preview/absolute/blob/data/bare inputs. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: Miguel Ángel <miguel07alm@protonmail.com> * fix(studio, core, cli): review hardening for beat detection + timeline UX - playerStore.reset() now clears beat state (analysis, edits, undo/redo, persist) so a project switch can't apply the previous project's beats, undo stack, or file-writer to the new one. - removeUserBeat returns the same reference on a no-op, and delete/move beat actions skip committing when nothing changed — no more phantom undo entries / debounced writes for no-op edits. - regularizeBeats bails to raw onsets when the (octave-misread) tempo would produce a sub-125ms grid, avoiding a tens-of-thousands-of-beats freeze. - parseBeats clamps strength to [0,1] and rejects non-finite time/strength, so a hand-edited file can't feed NaN into the gamma curve (Math.pow on a negative base) and blank out beat markers. - Start-edge beat-snap now also requires duration >= minDuration, matching the end-edge guard, so a rightward snap can't collapse the clip. - Center-anchor zoom effect always consumes its skip flag, so a pinch that produced no pps change can't leave it stranded and skip the next zoom. - Headless beats analyzer projects to {beatTimes, beatStrengths, bpm, confidence} before returning, so page.evaluate no longer serializes the full decoded PCM (channelData) across the CDP boundary. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: Miguel Ángel <miguel07alm@protonmail.com> * fix(core): gate parseBeats on schema version parseBeats accepted any object with a beats array, so a future v2 beat file (with changed semantics) would be parsed silently as v1. Reject anything whose version is not 1, treating an unknown version like an absent/invalid file. fix(core): honor root data-duration when GSAP timeline ends short (#1378)
* fix(core): honor root data-duration when GSAP timeline ends short The authored-duration floor only counted child composition clips, never the root element's own data-duration. A composition whose GSAP timeline ended even 0.1s short of its declared data-duration reported the shorter timeline length from player.getDuration() — and the studio's adapter selection (docDuration <= adapterDur) then silently rejected the audio-capable runtime player, downgrading preview playback to the seek-scrubbing adapter, which never starts media elements or WebAudio. Result: total audio silence with zero errors anywhere. - include the root's declared data-duration in resolveAuthoredCompositionDurationFloorSeconds, making data-duration the source of truth for playable length (per the documented contract) - console.warn in the studio when playback falls back to the seek-driven adapter, since the downgrade loses audio invisibly Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): release static-seek adapter on native win, warn once on downgrade Review findings on the previous commit, all in the static-seek fallback path of useTimelinePlayer.getAdapter: - A cached static-seek adapter was never paused when adapter selection later resolved a native adapter (the early returns bypass the fallback branch entirely), leaving its private rAF loop seeking the player while the native transport also drives it. The core data-duration fix makes this switch path much more common. releaseStaticSeekCache() now runs at every native-adapter return and at unmount. - The downgrade warning fired on every cache miss — and the cache key can never hold for __timelines compositions because wrapTimeline() returns a fresh object per call, so it fired every rAF tick. It now warns once per downgrade streak (re-armed when a native adapter takes over). - The warning interpolated adapterDur (the native __player duration, 0 when absent) instead of the selected adapter's duration, and used a one-off "[hyperframes-studio]" prefix instead of the file's "[useTimelinePlayer]" convention. The fallback cache logic moved to playbackAdapter.ts (with unit tests for warn-once, cache identity, and pause-on-replace/release), which also keeps useTimelinePlayer.ts inside the studio 600-line limit. Also corrected a stale "no DOM reads" comment on the runtime transport tick — the duration floor has always queried the DOM per call, and now also reads the root's declared data-duration. fix(studio): preserve playback across forward RAF loop wrap-around (#1103)
When forward playback reaches loopEnd and the loop wraps back to
loopStart, the RAF tick was calling `adapter.seek(loopStart)` without
keepPlaying, then immediately `adapter.play()` to resume. With the
post-3e7b464b wrapTimeline contract (default seek pauses), this means
every loop boundary executes pause→seek→pause→play for GSAP and a
stop/start RAF ticker cycle for the static-seek adapter — purely
unnecessary churn.
Pass { keepPlaying: true } so seek skips the implicit pause; the
follow-up adapter.play() is then a no-op because the underlying
adapter never paused. Adds two tests covering the wrap-around branch
(previously uncovered) and the no-loop terminal path as a regression
guard.
Completes the keepPlaying rollout: #842 introduced the option for A/E
shortcuts, #863 extended it to the runtime player, #1089 aligned the
static-seek adapter, and this applies it to the last internal caller
that explicitly resumes after seek.

fix(studio): clamp loopEnd to duration so RAF boundary stays reachable
When outPoint exceeds composition duration, rawLoopEnd > dur makes the time >= loopEnd branch unreachable after the playhead clamp — the player ticks forever. Clamp rawLoopEnd to dur in both forward and backward RAF loops, matching the seek() clamping. Add test for the boundary behavior. Trim blank lines to satisfy 600-line filesize gate. |

fix(studio): clamp playhead to composition duration in RAF loop
The studio player's RAF loop in useTimelinePlayer notified the playhead position via liveTime.notify(time) before checking the duration limit. When adapter.getTime() returned a value past the composition's data-duration (due to timing drift or delayed duration calculation), the playhead would visually overshoot — showing e.g. 0:19 on a 0:10 composition. The web player component already had this clamping (playback-state.ts line 42, direct-timeline-clock.ts line 56), but the studio player's forward loop was missing it. Fix: clamp time to dur before notifying, matching the pattern already used in the web player: Math.min(rawTime, dur) when dur > 0. |

feat(studio): add M (mute) and Shift+L (loop) keyboard shortcuts
Adds NLE-style hotkeys for muting audio and toggling loop playback in the Studio player, matching the workflow conventions in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, and Final Cut. - M toggles audio mute (no-op above 1x playback, matching the mute button's existing gating behavior). - Shift+L toggles loop. Ctrl/Cmd+L was considered but is filtered out by shouldIgnorePlaybackShortcutEvent and conflicts with the browser address bar; Shift+L is also consistent with the existing Shift+I / Shift+O modifier pattern. The Shift+L handler runs before the existing plain-L shuttle case so it doesn't also start forward playback. Fixes #905 |

fix(studio): address PR review — restore rollback, fix probe race, harden edit suppression
Restore rollback path: enqueueEdit now returns the queued promise so Promise.resolve(handler(...)).catch(rollback) in useTimelineClipDrag fires correctly on save failure. Handlers return the promise chain. Fix lost-update race in probe enrichment: use zustand's functional setState so concurrent probe completions each read the latest state atomically instead of all reading the same stale snapshot. Harden file-change suppression: pendingTimelineEditPathRef is now a Set<string> with exact-match lookup instead of single-slot + endsWith. Multiple concurrent edits on different files are all suppressed correctly. Remove dead canOffsetTrimClipStart function and its tests — no longer called after the capability gate simplification. Document runtime sync mechanism: added comment explaining that the runtime re-reads data attributes on each sync tick (init.ts:1324-1368). Fix comment wording in patchIframeDomTiming catch block. |

fix(studio): enable timeline resize for all elements, improve perf and UX
Enable trim-start and trim-end for all authored timeline elements (divs, sections, compositions) — not just video/audio/img. The deterministic-window gate was overly restrictive since all non-implicit elements have authored data-start/data-duration that define their timeline window. Replace iframe reload after resize/move with direct DOM attribute patching via patchIframeDomTiming(). This eliminates playhead-jump-to-zero, visual blinking, and race conditions from file-watcher echoes. File persistence runs in a serialized background queue (persistTimelineEdit + enqueueEdit) so rapid edits don't overwrite each other. Add mediabunny-based media probe service (mediaProbe.ts) for fast metadata extraction from file headers. Timeline elements missing sourceDuration are enriched asynchronously without waiting for DOM loadedmetadata events. Tune the runtime media preloader: lower lazy threshold from 6 to 3 clips, add 3s lookbehind window for reverse scrub, adaptive promoted-clip cap. Deduplicate getTimelineEditCapabilities — computed once in TimelineCanvas and passed as a prop to TimelineClip instead of recomputing per clip. Remove dead PlaybackAdapter re-export from useTimelinePlayer — all consumers import directly from playbackTypes. |

refactor: delete orphan declarations flagged by fallow (#949)
* ci: run fallow audit in lefthook pre-commit Mirrors the same `fallow audit --base ... --fail-on-issues` check that runs in CI, but locally against HEAD so issues surface at commit time instead of after the push round-trip. Scoped to `packages/**` source files via the glob — non-code edits (README, docs, top-level configs) skip the hook entirely. Measured locally: ~5s in parallel with the existing lint/format/typecheck checks. Doesn't extend wall-clock time because typecheck (~11s) is the long pole, and lefthook runs commands in parallel. The default `--gate new-only` means inherited findings don't block the commit — same gate behavior as CI, so local pre-commit and PR audit agree. * refactor: delete orphan declarations flagged by fallow After fallow's auto-fix de-exports unused symbols, oxlint surfaces them as no-unused-vars. This PR deletes those orphan declarations outright. Biggest cleanup: studio/src/icons/SystemIcons.tsx shrinks from 132 to 57 lines — 33 unused icon wrappers and their phosphor-icon imports deleted. Other deletions across 14 more files covering paired getter/setters, helper functions, dead env constants, internal components with no callers, and cascading unused imports. Cascade-causing files held back for follow-up PRs: renderOrchestrator barrel of captureCost re-exports, telemetry/portUtils/remote barrels, Button.tsx + ui/index.ts (would orphan whole file), studioMotion type re-exports. Test plan: typecheck clean across 8 packages, oxlint + oxfmt clean, fallow audit exit 0 (remaining findings inherited), cli + studio vitest suites pass. |

fix(studio): address review — GSAP-only fallback, drop dead alias, add tests
- [blocker] When playerAdapter is null (GSAP-only runtimes with no win.__player), the fallback path now uses the best available timeline adapter instead of returning null. fix(studio): seek slider respects full document timeline duration
getAdapter() returned the runtime player or GSAP timeline adapter directly when its duration was > 0, even when the document's timeline (computed from sub-composition data-start + data-hf-authored-duration attributes) extended beyond that duration. This capped the seek slider, seek clamping, and sub-composition visibility at the adapter's shorter value. Now each adapter path checks whether the document duration exceeds the adapter's own duration. When it does, the adapter falls through to createStaticSeekPlaybackAdapter which wraps the runtime player with the correct effective duration, allowing seeking and preview across the full timeline range. |

fix(studio): patch runtime clock when document duration exceeds player duration
When the runtime player's clock duration is smaller than the effective timeline (computed from data-start + data-hf-authored-duration on sub-composition elements), the seek is clamped too early and sub-compositions beyond the clock duration are invisible. Detect this mismatch in getAdapter() and pad the root GSAP timeline to the document duration, then force a timeline rebind so the clock updates. |

fix(studio): uncap seek clamp to include timeline element range
The seek function clamped to adapter.getDuration() which only knows the root composition's authored duration. Appended timeline elements extend beyond this range. Compute the effective max from both the adapter duration and the store's element boundaries so scrubbing reaches the full timeline. |

fix(studio): seek slider respects effective timeline duration with appended blocks
The seek slider read duration from the player store, which was set from the iframe adapter's getDuration() — only aware of the root composition's authored data-duration. Appended sub-compositions (via Blocks panel) extend the timeline but the slider stayed capped at the original duration. Sync effectiveTimelineDuration (which accounts for all timeline elements) into the player store, and prevent adapter callbacks from overwriting a larger effective duration back down to the authored value. |

fix(studio, registry): unbreak studio test on main + make vignette demo legible
Two surgical changes, both isolated to the catalog-previews flow: 1. `packages/studio/src/player/hooks/usePlaybackKeyboard.test.ts` PR #842 changed `seek()` to take `(time, { keepPlaying: true })` for the A/E shortcuts. The keyboard-layout tests added by #839 still asserted the single-arg form. Both landed on main without cross-checking, so `main` itself has been failing Test/Windows since. Update the two assertions to match the new signature. Same fix Miguel already authored on `feat/studio-preview-pasteboard-bg`. 2. `registry/components/vignette/demo.html` The original demo captured a frame where the vignette was at its weakest point — the effect was nearly invisible in the static preview used by docs. Reworked the demo so: - The backdrop is a layered "cinematic still" (warm key + teal rim + dark falloff) and includes a centered subject ("moon"), so the vignette has a focal point to frame. - Vignette starts soft (size 70%, alpha 0.35) and ramps to a dramatic cinematic vignette (size 26%, alpha 0.92) over 1.6s. - Peak intensity holds across t≈3.0s, which is exactly where the catalog script samples the thumbnail (`Math.min(3.0, duration*0.6)` with duration=5). - Breathing motion in t=3.4–5.2s gives the video loop visible life without disturbing the still frame. |

fix(studio): preserve playback state on Jump-to-in/out shortcuts (#842)
When the user has the timeline playing and presses A (Jump to in-point)
or E (Jump to out-point), the seek seeks to the marker as expected but
also pauses the playback. The reporter (and the natural UX) expects
playback to keep going from the marker.
Root cause sits in two layers:
1. The `seek` callback in `useTimelinePlayer.ts` unconditionally calls
`setIsPlaying(false)` and `stopRAFLoop()` whenever the store reports
playing. That path is shared with timeline clicks, LayersPanel
navigation, and frame stepping — flipping the default would change
behavior the rest of the app expects.
2. `wrapTimeline` (the GSAP-timeline-backed adapter) calls `tl.pause()`
before `tl.seek(t)`, so even if the callback above stopped pausing,
GSAP-driven compositions would still get paused inside the adapter.
The fix is opt-in at both layers:
- Extend `PlaybackAdapter.seek` with `options?: { keepPlaying?: boolean }`.
Default is omitted/false, preserving existing behavior for every
caller that doesn't pass the option.
- `wrapTimeline.seek` skips the implicit `tl.pause()` when keepPlaying
is set. `createStaticSeekPlaybackAdapter` accepts the new signature
but is a no-op for the flag (it never paused internally).
- `useTimelinePlayer` seek callback grows the same option and forwards
it to adapter.seek(time, options). The reset block (stopRAFLoop,
setIsPlaying(false), shuttle refs) is gated behind !options.keepPlaying.
- Reverse shuttle is always stopped on seek (the RAF reverse tick
cannot survive a seek), so keepPlaying is overridden when the
shuttle was running backward. Documented with an inline comment.
- usePlaybackKeyboard updates its seek param type to match and passes
{ keepPlaying: true } on the A and E handlers only. Frame stepping
(Arrow keys, J/L with K held) keeps the default.
Tests (happy-dom):
- useTimelinePlayer.seek.test.ts covers the callback in three cases:
default seek clears isPlaying, seek with keepPlaying preserves
isPlaying=true, and the option from paused state stays paused.
- playbackAdapter.test.ts (new) covers wrapTimeline: default seek
pauses the GSAP timeline, keepPlaying: true skips the pause,
keepPlaying: false is the explicit default.
Closes part of #834 (sub-bug #2). Sub-bug #1 (playhead should loop
to in-point when exceeding out-point) lives in the RAF tick and is
left for a follow-up PR.

fix(studio): use e.key for playback shortcuts so non-QWERTY layouts work
The 7 letter shortcuts (J/K/L/I/O/A/E) in usePlaybackKeyboard were gated on `e.code === "Key*"`, which is the physical key position on a US-QWERTY layout. On AZERTY (and other layouts) the physical "KeyA" slot produces e.key="q", so "Jump to in-point" and the rest of the letter shortcuts either fired on the wrong character or not at all. Switch the 7 letter shortcuts to compare `e.key.toLowerCase()` and rename `pressedCodesRef` → `pressedKeysRef` so the K-hold combo (K+J / K+L for frame stepping) is also keyed off the typed character. `Space` and `Arrow*` keep using `e.code` since those codes are layout-independent. Adds a happy-dom test covering QWERTY happy path, AZERTY (physical KeyQ produces e.key="a" → in-point seek fires), AZERTY contrapositive (physical KeyA producing e.key="q" no longer triggers in-point), Shift+I clears in-point, K-hold combo for frame stepping, K release returning the set to clean state, and Space passthrough. Addresses bug #3 in #834. Bugs #1 (loop at out-point) and #2 (Jump to in-point forcing pause) live outside this hook (player loop and adapter `seek` respectively) and are left for follow-up PRs. |

feat(studio): header logo, playbar cleanup, and I/O work-area markers (#811)
* feat(studio): header logo, playbar cleanup, and I/O work-area markers
- Add Hyperframes icon mark to the studio header (left of project name)
- Remove m:ss toggle button — click the timecode directly to switch modes
- Remove frame jump input from controls bar — moved into ⌨ shortcuts panel
- Replace Loop text button with a repeat icon
- Collapse J/K/L shortcut badges into a single ⌨ icon that opens a panel
- Shortcuts panel: Jump to frame, Work area I/O display, shortcuts reference
- Implement I/O work-area markers (closes #807):
- I / Shift+I: set / clear in-point at playhead
- O / Shift+O: set / clear out-point at playhead
- A: jump to in-point (or start); E: jump to out-point (or end)
- Loop respects in/out boundaries for both forward and backward playback
- Teal work-area band + tick markers rendered on the seek bar
* fix(studio): guard against inverted in/out work-area points in loop ticks
If the user sets out-point before in-point (outPoint < inPoint), rawLoopStart
>= rawLoopEnd caused the loop guard to fire immediately on every tick, creating
a tight infinite seek loop. Both the forward RAF tick and the reverse RAF tick
now fall back to the full composition range when the work area is invalid.
* fix(studio): address work-area edge cases from review
- setInPoint/setOutPoint now cross-clear the opposite marker when setting one
would produce an inverted range (in >= out), preventing the invalid state
rather than correcting it at tick time
- Forward tick no longer gates on !adapter.isPlaying() — outPoint crossing
fires even while the adapter is running; explicitly pauses on the non-loop
path so playback stops at out-point rather than sailing to dur
- play() end-of-stream reset seeks to inPoint (if set) instead of hardcoded 0
* feat(studio): use full Hyperframes wordmark logo in header
Replace the standalone icon mark with the complete logo from logo-dark.svg
(icon mark + Hyperframes wordmark), with all black text fills inverted to
white for the dark header background. Project name is shown next to the logo
separated by a middot.
* Revert "feat(studio): use full Hyperframes wordmark logo in header"

feat(studio): add Layers panel as new inspector tab (#784)
* feat(studio): add Layers panel as new inspector tab Adds a dedicated Layers tab alongside Design and Renders in the right panel inspector. Closes #783 Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(studio): add visual element previews to Layers panel Each layer row now shows a small color/content preview thumbnail: - Text elements show a snippet of their content in the actual font color - Container elements show their background color as a colored swatch - Image elements show a tiny thumbnail of the image - Media elements show an icon indicator Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * feat(studio): add hover-to-highlight and auto-seek to Layers panel Replace tiny preview thumbnails with hover highlighting — hovering a layer row highlights the element in the preview canvas. Clicking a layer auto-seeks the playhead to that element's start time in the timeline. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): layers panel tab order, autoseek, and renders toolbar overflow - Reorder inspector tabs to Design → Layers → Renders - Fix autoseek: walk DOM ancestors when selected element has no direct timeline match, so clicking a child like S2 Heading correctly seeks to the start of its parent scene - Fix Renders toolbar overflow: add flex-wrap to the export controls header so selects and the Export button wrap instead of clipping * fix(studio): seek to midpoint of element duration in layers panel autoseek * fix(studio): layers panel seek now drives adapter.seek via requestSeek signal setCurrentTime() only updated the store — adapter.seek() and liveTime.notify() were never called so the iframe never moved. Add requestedSeekTime to the player store; useTimelinePlayer subscribes and calls the real seek() path when it fires. * feat(studio): hover over a layer auto-seeks to element midpoint (300ms debounce) * feat(studio): add collapsible sections to Design panel Section component now supports collapse/expand with a chevron toggle. Text, Layout, and Fill sections stay expanded by default. Less-used sections (Flex, Radius, Stroke, Effects, Clip, Transparency) start collapsed to reduce scrolling. Before releasing manual editing, users need a way to recover from visual property changes, source-editor saves, timeline moves/resizes/deletes, and timeline asset drops. The history also needs to survive a page refresh. A refresh should not erase the only way back from a bad manual edit. - Adds a persistent per-project edit-history model for file snapshots. - Stores undo/redo stacks in IndexedDB so history survives Studio refreshes. - Records source editor saves, manual DOM edits, and timeline mutations. - Adds toolbar undo/redo buttons with standard keyboard shortcuts: `Cmd/Ctrl+Z`, `Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Z`, and `Ctrl+Y`. - Validates current file hashes before applying undo/redo so external file changes do not silently overwrite newer content. - Keeps history available in memory if IndexedDB persistence fails during a session. - Adds focused unit coverage for the pure history model, storage adapter, controller/hook behavior, and project-file save helper. Studio previously treated every editor mutation as an immediate file write. Manual DOM editing, timeline updates, and source-editor saves each had separate write paths, so there was no common transaction boundary where Studio could capture the file contents before and after an edit. Undo/redo needed to sit above those write paths as a file-level transaction system: capture changed files before saving, write the new contents, persist the history entry by project, then apply undo/redo only when the current file content still matches the expected snapshot. - `bun --filter @hyperframes/studio test src/utils/editHistory.test.ts src/utils/editHistoryStorage.test.ts src/hooks/usePersistentEditHistory.test.ts src/utils/studioFileHistory.test.ts` -> 4 files pass, 15 tests pass - `bun --filter @hyperframes/studio test` -> 26 files pass, 289 tests pass - `bun --filter @hyperframes/studio typecheck` - `bunx oxlint packages/studio/src/App.tsx packages/studio/src/icons/SystemIcons.tsx packages/studio/src/hooks/usePersistentEditHistory.ts packages/studio/src/hooks/usePersistentEditHistory.test.ts packages/studio/src/utils/editHistory.ts packages/studio/src/utils/editHistory.test.ts packages/studio/src/utils/editHistoryStorage.ts packages/studio/src/utils/editHistoryStorage.test.ts packages/studio/src/utils/studioFileHistory.ts packages/studio/src/utils/studioFileHistory.test.ts` -> 0 warnings, 0 errors - `bunx oxfmt --check packages/studio/src/App.tsx packages/studio/src/icons/SystemIcons.tsx packages/studio/src/hooks/usePersistentEditHistory.ts packages/studio/src/hooks/usePersistentEditHistory.test.ts packages/studio/src/utils/editHistory.ts packages/studio/src/utils/editHistory.test.ts packages/studio/src/utils/editHistoryStorage.ts packages/studio/src/utils/editHistoryStorage.test.ts packages/studio/src/utils/studioFileHistory.ts packages/studio/src/utils/studioFileHistory.test.ts` - `git diff --check` - `bun run --filter @hyperframes/core build:hyperframes-runtime` before commit hook, because the clean worktree needed the ignored runtime-inline artifact for typecheck - Lefthook pre-commit -> lint, format, typecheck pass - Lefthook commit-msg -> commitlint pass - Started Studio locally at `http://127.0.0.1:5190/#project/undo-redo-sample`. - Used `agent-browser` to select a preview element in the Inspector and change `#hero-card` from `left: 220px` to `left: 260px`. - Refreshed Studio and verified Undo stayed enabled. - Clicked Undo and verified the project file returned to `left: 220px`; clicked Redo and verified the inline `left: 260px` returned. - Used `agent-browser` to drag the `side-card` timeline clip, refreshed Studio, then verified Undo restored the previous timeline attributes and Redo reapplied the timeline move. - Recorded the tested undo/redo flow with `agent-browser`: `qa-artifacts/studio-undo-redo-2026-04-28/studio-undo-redo-flow.webm`. - Local screenshots and recordings are kept under `qa-artifacts/studio-undo-redo-2026-04-28/` and are intentionally not committed. - The scratch Studio project used for browser proof is local-only under `packages/studio/data/projects/undo-redo-sample/` and is intentionally not committed. - The PR intentionally excludes the earlier PRD/TDD planning notes under `docs/superpowers/`; those remain local-only per request. * fix: align Studio capture with preview (#595) Studio frame capture could fail for projects mounted outside the repo when the project id came from an encoded hash route. A project like `Notion Showcase` loaded as `#project/Notion%20Showcase`, but the capture URL encoded that already-encoded value again, producing `/api/projects/Notion%2520Showcase/...` and a 404. While validating the fix by seeking through the preview, capture also diverged from the visible player for nested compositions because the thumbnail route sought raw timelines instead of the same player seek path used by Studio preview. - Decodes project ids when reading Studio `#project/...` routes and centralizes project hash/API path construction. - Keeps API URLs encoded exactly once, including project names with spaces, literal `%`, reserved characters, and unicode. - Updates Studio thumbnail capture to prefer `window.__player.seek(t)` and only fall back to raw timeline seeking for standalone pages. - Preserves explicit `t=0` thumbnail requests instead of falling back to `0.5` seconds. - Adds preview-regression CI coverage for Studio routing, frame capture URL construction, thumbnail seeking, and core thumbnail seek parsing. Studio treated the hash route segment as the canonical project id even when the browser had already percent-encoded it. `buildFrameCaptureUrl` then encoded that string again, so a decoded project directory name and the capture API path no longer matched. The preview/capture mismatch was a separate seek-path issue: the visible Studio preview seeks through the HyperFrames player, which maps global time into nested composition time. The capture route bypassed that layer and paused all registered timelines at the same global time. The zero-second capture case came from parsing `t` with a truthiness fallback, so `parseFloat("0") || 0.5` became `0.5`. - `bun run --cwd packages/studio test -- vite.thumbnail.test.ts src/utils/projectRouting.test.ts src/utils/frameCapture.test.ts` - `bun run --cwd packages/core test -- src/studio-api/routes/thumbnail.test.ts` - `bunx oxfmt --check .github/workflows/preview-regression.yml packages/studio/vite.thumbnail.ts packages/studio/vite.thumbnail.test.ts packages/studio/vite.config.ts packages/studio/src/utils/projectRouting.ts packages/studio/src/utils/projectRouting.test.ts packages/studio/src/utils/frameCapture.ts packages/studio/src/App.tsx packages/core/src/studio-api/routes/thumbnail.ts packages/core/src/studio-api/routes/thumbnail.test.ts` - `bunx oxlint .github/workflows/preview-regression.yml packages/studio/vite.thumbnail.ts packages/studio/vite.thumbnail.test.ts packages/studio/vite.config.ts packages/studio/src/utils/projectRouting.ts packages/studio/src/utils/projectRouting.test.ts packages/studio/src/utils/frameCapture.ts packages/studio/src/App.tsx packages/core/src/studio-api/routes/thumbnail.ts packages/core/src/studio-api/routes/thumbnail.test.ts` - `bun run --cwd packages/studio typecheck` - `bun run --cwd packages/core build:hyperframes-runtime` - `bun run --cwd packages/core typecheck` - `git diff --check` Pre-commit also reran lint, format, and typecheck successfully for the committed files. Using `agent-browser`, I mounted `/Users/miguel07code/Downloads/Notion Showcase` into Studio's project data and opened: ```text http://127.0.0.1:5197/#project/Notion%20Showcase ``` Before the fix, Capture requested `/api/projects/Notion%2520Showcase/thumbnail/index.html?...` and Studio showed `Capture failed`. After the fix, I sought the preview to `0s`, `2s`, `10s`, and `18s`, captured each frame, and compared the visible preview crop against the capture output. The capture URLs all used `Notion%20Showcase`, not `Notion%2520Showcase`, and no failure toast appeared. Mean pixel diffs for preview vs capture were: - `0s`: `0.0` - `2s`: `0.8641` - `10s`: `0.3496` - `18s`: `0.2309` The small non-zero diffs are raster/antialias-level differences after resizing the capture to the preview crop dimensions. - Browser screenshots, comparison sheets, network logs, and the `agent-browser` recording are local-only under `qa-artifacts/capture-button/` and are not committed. - The local Notion Showcase project mount is an ignored symlink under `packages/studio/data/projects/` and is not committed. - Thumbnail cache versions were bumped so stale captures generated with the old seek behavior are not reused. * feat: persist studio manual edits via manifest * fix(studio): stabilize manual edit manifest rendering * fix(studio): allow master canvas layer selection * fix(studio): scale master edits in source coordinates * fix(studio): reapply manual edits during playback * fix(studio): keep rotation edit base stable * feat(studio): highlight hovered canvas target * fix(studio): drag hovered canvas targets immediately * fix(studio): rotate manual edits around center * fix(studio): keep rotate handle aligned while dragging * fix(studio): allow small rotation adjustments * fix(studio): match rotate handle size to resize handle * fix(studio): connect rotate handle line to selection * feat(studio): reset selected manual edits * fix(studio): route inspector geometry through manual edits * feat: add studio group repositioning * fix: preserve studio group selections * fix: seed additive studio selection groups * fix: select studio groups on pointerdown * fix: harden studio group overlay events * fix: address studio manual edit review feedback * fix: apply nested manual edits in drilled previews * fix: commit drag offsets from gesture math * fix: persist manual preview edits on refresh * fix: harden manual edit refresh apply * fix: share manual edit render runtime * chore: release v0.5.0-alpha.15 * feat(core): add studio animation preview APIs * feat(studio): add alpha editor layer inspector * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.1 * feat(studio): enable inspector panels by default * fix(studio): keep motion panel opt-in * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.2 * feat: auto-open timeline clip layers * feat: show composition loading in studio * feat: disable Studio timeline while composition loads * chore: ignore .claude directory * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.3 * feat(studio): simplify inspector selection ux * fix(studio): keep notion preview playback moving * fix(studio): handle raster inspector clicks * fix(studio): stale selection, rotation control, design panel polish Fixes and improvements based on power-user testing feedback: 1. Fix stale selection after style edits — handleDomStyleCommit now calls refreshDomEditSelectionFromPreview after persisting, matching every other commit handler. Without this, the PropertyPanel showed frozen computedStyles after color/radius/shadow edits, making it look like editing "didn't work." Also adds error handling around the persist call. 2. Add rotation field to the Design panel Layout section — reads the current rotation angle from the manual edit manifest and commits via the existing handleDomRotationCommit handler. 3. Enable motion panel by default — STUDIO_MOTION_PANEL_ENABLED now defaults to true so the Motion tab is discoverable without env vars. 4. Color controls only when element has color — fill color section now only shows when the element has an explicit non-transparent background-color. Text color shows only when the element has a color style. Prevents showing color pickers on elements where color edits have no visible effect. 5. Exclude canvas from selection — added "canvas" to DOM_LAYER_IGNORED_TAGS so canvas elements are not selectable in the preview or listed in the layer panel. 6. Multi-selection feedback — shows "N elements selected" with guidance instead of the generic empty state when multiple elements are selected. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): prevent browser launch timeout from crashing dev server The shared Puppeteer browser pool in getSharedBrowser() could throw a 30s TimeoutError during launch. This error propagated as an uncaught rejection and killed the vite process, even though generateThumbnail had its own try/catch — the browser launch promise rejected outside that scope. Now getSharedBrowser itself catches launch failures and returns null, so thumbnails degrade gracefully instead of crashing. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): revert motion panel default to false Motion panel stays opt-in via env var per product direction. Only the Design panel is enabled by default. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): prevent read-only property crash in manual edit wrappers The seek/play/applyAfter wrapper functions in manualEdits.ts crashed with "Cannot set property X which has only a getter" when the player or timeline objects define seek/play as getter-only properties. This prevented ALL manual edits (position, rotation, size) from persisting to disk — the error thrown during applyCurrentStudioManualEditsToPreview aborted the save queue. Wrapped all three property assignments in try/catch so wrapping gracefully degrades when the target object is non-configurable. Verified: position edit (X=42px) now persists to .hyperframes/studio-manual-edits.json and survives page refresh. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix: alpha preview e2e fixes — exports, init templates, EPIPE crash Three bugs found via automated e2e testing of the v0.6.0-alpha preview: 1. core: add missing package.json export specifiers for studio-api/manual-edits-render-script and studio-api/studio-motion-render-script — the alpha.3 npm publish failed because the studio build could not resolve these sub-paths. 2. cli: fix init --example creating empty projects — tsup leaves empty template directories in dist/ during the build, causing existsSync(templateDir) to return true and skip the remote fetch fallback. Now checks for index.html inside the dir instead. 3. engine: fix unhandled EPIPE crash in streaming encoder — ffmpeg stdin/stdout had no error handlers, so a write after the ffmpeg process exits throws an uncaught error that crashes the process. Verified with 8 consecutive e2e iterations (424 test runs, 0 flaky). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): thumbnail crash, feature defaults, multi-select UX, fps selector Power-user audit fixes for the alpha studio: - vite.config.ts: wrap thumbnail generation in try/catch so Puppeteer TimeoutError doesn't crash the entire vite dev server as an uncaught rejection. Close the page on error to prevent browser session leaks. - manualEditingAvailability.ts: enable motion panel and manual canvas drag editing by default (were both false, undiscoverable without knowing the env vars). - PropertyPanel.tsx: show "N elements selected" feedback when multiple elements are selected instead of the generic "Select an element" empty state. - RenderQueue.tsx + App.tsx: add FPS selector (24/30/60) to the render export bar instead of hardcoding 30fps. Pass the user's choice through to startRender. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.4 * fix(runtime): update clock duration when root timeline is late-bound Compositions with external sub-compositions (like apple-presentation with 7 slides) load child compositions via fetch(). The root GSAP timeline is only bound after all external compositions finish loading, but the TransportClock duration was only set during initial setup. When bindRootTimelineIfAvailable runs after the external compositions load, it captures the root timeline but never updates the clock. player.getDuration() continues returning 0, so the player's probe interval never fires the 'ready' event, and the Studio shows "Loading composition" indefinitely. Now bindRootTimelineIfAvailable updates clock.setDuration when the root timeline is late-bound. Guarded with try/catch for the early call site where clock is not yet initialized (temporal dead zone). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): block element selection while composition is loading Prevent users from selecting elements in the preview while the composition is still loading (showing "Loading composition" overlay). Selection and hover highlighting are suppressed until the player fires the ready event. Also reverts motion panel and manual drag editing defaults to false — these were accidentally set to true during the PR #693 merge. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.5 * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.6 * fix(runtime): remove per-tick timeline.pause() that causes audio stutter The seekRuntimeTimeline helper added timeline.pause() before every totalTime() seek. During transport-driven playback, this runs 60 times per second, causing GSAP to cascade pause events to media elements on every frame. The result: audio plays/stops/plays/stops in a stutter pattern. The captured root timeline is already paused once in player.play() — the TransportClock drives it via totalTime(t) which keeps it paused. The extra per-tick pause() was redundant for the root timeline but actively harmful for media sync. Fix: restore the original inline seek for the captured timeline (totalTime without pause), keep seekRuntimeTimeline with pause() only for standalone child timelines where explicit pause control is needed. Also fixes rebase artifact: missing PropertyPanel props in App.tsx. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.7 * fix(studio): restore text field handlers lost in rebase Restores handleDomAddTextField and handleDomRemoveTextField that were dropped when resolving App.tsx conflicts during the main→next rebase. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.8 * fix(runtime): comprehensive audio stutter fix Three changes that together caused audio play/stop/play/stop stutter during transport-driven playback: 1. seekRuntimeTimeline called timeline.pause() before every totalTime() seek, 60x per second. GSAP cascades pause to media elements on every frame. Fix: restore original inline seek for the captured timeline (totalTime without pause). The timeline is already paused once in player.play(). seekRuntimeTimeline with pause() remains only for standalone child timelines. 2. player.play() removed the !tl guard, allowing play without a captured timeline. But getSafeTimelineDurationSeconds(null) returns 0, so the clock has no duration → immediately reaches end → stops → restarts. Fix: when no timeline provides duration, fall back to the root composition element's data-duration attribute. 3. Audio source attachment added networkState guard that could cause the clock to flicker between audio-source and monotonic timing on transient media states. Fix: keep !rawEl.error guard (prevents errored audio from freezing the clock) but drop the networkState check. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(runtime): skip drift corrections on playing video elements Seeking a playing video resets the browser's decoder pipeline, causing a ~150ms freeze while it re-buffers. During that freeze the monotonic clock advances, drift grows, and strict sync fires another seek — creating a perpetual stutter loop (176 seek events / 8s observed on the apple-presentation composition). Skip strict and force drift corrections for playing video elements; only hard sync (>0.5s catastrophic drift) warrants the decoder-reset cost. Audio elements are unaffected and retain the full correction tiers. Also propagate the asset-loading overlay state to the timeline so controls are disabled during "Preparing preview assets", matching the existing behavior for the initial composition loading overlay. * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.9 * feat(studio): consolidate keyboard shortcuts into single handler Move all window-level keyboard shortcuts from 4 separate files into one `handleAppKeyDown` listener in App.tsx: - Shift+T: toggle timeline (was App.tsx, separate useMountEffect) - Cmd/Ctrl+Z: undo (was App.tsx, separate useEffect) - Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+Z: redo (was App.tsx, separate useEffect) - Cmd/Ctrl+1: sidebar Compositions tab (was LeftSidebar.tsx) - Cmd/Ctrl+2: sidebar Assets tab (was LeftSidebar.tsx) - Delete/Backspace: remove selected element (was Timeline.tsx) LeftSidebar exposes a ref handle for tab switching. Timeline watches selectedElement becoming null to clean up popover/range UI state. History hotkey kept as named function for iframe forwarding. Playback shortcuts (Space, J/K/L, arrows) and caption nudge remain in their component hooks — tightly coupled to component state. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): sidebar tab overflow + hot-reload double-refresh 1. Sidebar tabs: use equal 1fr columns, shorter "Comps" label, truncate on overflow, tighter padding. Fixes tabs clipping outside the rounded pill at narrow sidebar widths. 2. Hot reload: set domEditSaveTimestampRef before every save-then-refresh path (source editor, timeline move/resize/delete, asset drop). The file-change watcher already checks this timestamp and suppresses echoed events — but source editor saves and timeline operations weren't setting it, causing a double refreshKey increment that could leave the player in a non-playable state. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): delete key removes preview-selected elements The consolidated keyboard handler only checked selectedElementId (timeline clips). When a user selected a child element in the preview via the inspector, selectedElementId was null because the element didn't correspond to a top-level timeline clip, so Delete/Backspace did nothing. Add handleDomEditElementDelete that removes the element referenced by the current domEditSelection via the remove-element mutation API. The Delete key handler now falls through from timeline selection to DOM edit selection. * fix(studio): remove unused deleteInFlightRef from Timeline Leftover from moving Delete handling to the consolidated keyboard handler in App.tsx. Also suppress pre-existing exhaustive-deps warning on the intentional every-render selection-change watcher. * fix(studio): forward all keyboard shortcuts to preview iframe The consolidated handleAppKeyDown was only added to the parent window. When focus was inside the preview iframe (after clicking an element), keydown events didn't reach the parent, so Delete and other shortcuts didn't fire. Replace the per-function iframe forwarding (handleTimelineToggleHotkey only) with the full app-level handler via a ref-stable wrapper. All app shortcuts (Delete, Undo/Redo, Shift+T, Cmd+1/2) now work from within the preview iframe. * fix(core): search inside <template> content when removing elements linkedom's document.querySelectorAll does not traverse <template> content. Elements in template-based compositions (like .title-word, .bullet-text) were invisible to the removal logic, so delete returned changed: false and the element survived the reload. Fall back to template.querySelectorAll when the document-level query returns no matches. Uses template.querySelectorAll directly (not template.content.querySelectorAll) because removing from the content DocumentFragment doesn't update the serialized output. * fix(studio): suppress loading overlay on hot-reload Only show the composition loading overlay on the first iframe load. Hot-reloads (source editor save, timeline edits, element delete) no longer flash the full-screen loading state. * fix(studio): reorder design panel, fix stroke height, rename Blending - Move Text section to the top of the panel (before Layout) - Remove Selection Colors section - Rename "Blending" to "Transparency" - Fix stroke Width/Style height mismatch by making SelectField use inline label layout matching MetricField * fix(studio): prevent panel scroll when wheel-adjusting metric inputs React registers onWheel passively, so preventDefault had no effect on the parent scroll container. Replace with a native wheel listener (passive: false) that blocks both default scroll and propagation. * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.10 * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.11 * fix(studio): clean next alpha inspector artifacts * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.12 * fix(studio, player, core): eliminate double audio and manifest polling loop (#722) Three bugs that compound in Studio preview: 1. **Double audio on pause/resume**: syncRuntimeMedia played audio through the HTML <audio> element while WebAudioTransport simultaneously played the same source through AudioBufferSourceNode. Fixed by passing webAudio.isActive() as outputMuted so HTML elements stay muted when Web Audio owns playback. Also removed the priorMuted restore in stopAll() which raced with the next play cycle. 2. **Manifest polling loop**: applyStudioManualEditsToPreview and applyStudioMotionToPreview unconditionally fetched from disk on every call, even without forceFromDisk. The runtime posts state messages every frame via postMessage, triggering React re-renders that re-invoked these functions ~60x/second. Fixed by returning early when no disk read is requested, and using refs instead of callbacks in useEffect deps. 3. **Parent proxy double-play**: the player web component created parent-frame audio proxies even when the runtime bridge was available, causing two audio sources on autoplay-blocked promotion. Fixed by skipping proxy creation when _hasRuntimeBridge returns true, and synchronously muting iframe media on promotion to close the async race window. Also fixes pre-existing ResolutionPreset type missing square variants. Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): improve font picker and text property controls (#736) - Line height and letter-spacing: convert from free-text to select with presets - Font style: remove oblique (browser falls back to italic), keep normal/italic - Font weight: detect available weights via document.fonts.check(), add labels - Font source: local fonts matching Google catalog tagged as Google - Font list: balanced per-source caps prevent any source from being cut off - Sort order: Google fonts rank before Local so curated fonts appear first Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): inspector visibility, undo/redo blinking, and preview caching Inspector picks invisible elements when an ancestor has GSAP-set opacity: 0 because CSS opacity is not inherited — getComputedStyle on the child still returns 1. Walk the ancestor chain in the picker, domEditing, and overlay visibility checks to catch this. Also: - Containers with all-invisible children are no longer selectable - Selection/hover overlay hides during playback and while loading - Undo/redo no longer double-refreshes (echo suppression for all file writes) - Undo/redo reloads iframe in-place instead of recreating the Player, preserving shader transition cache - Preview routes return ETag + Cache-Control headers; composition HTML uses project signature for conditional 304, binary assets use mtime+size - Loading overlay deferred 400ms so cached loads never flash it * fix(studio): remove timeline inspector buttons, enable manual dragging Remove the eye icon (inspector) and image icon (thumbnail toggle) from timeline clips. The timeline layer inspector feature and all supporting code is removed. Enable manual dragging in the preview by default. Add scrub-to-drag on X/Y/W/H fields in the design panel. Hide the Radius section when the element has no visible background. Fix pre-existing ResolutionPreset type for square presets. * chore: release v0.6.0-alpha.13 Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): add rotation field, inline element drag, fix manifest load regression (#743) - Add rotation (R) field to geometry row (X, Y, W, H, R) in property panel. Goes through manifest via handleDomRotationCommit, resettable with Reset Edits. - Auto-promote display:inline elements to inline-block when dragged so translate works on inline spans. - Fix regression from polling fix: iframe load now passes readFromDiskFirst to load manifest from disk, so Reset Edits finds existing entries. Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * refactor(studio): decompose App.tsx monolith (4297 → 567 lines) (#741) * refactor(studio): decompose App.tsx from 4297 to 567 lines Break the monolithic StudioApp component into focused modules: Hooks (12 new): - usePanelLayout: resizable/collapsible panel state - useFileManager: file tree, CRUD, uploads, derived lists - useManifestPersistence: manual edit + motion manifest save queue - useTimelineEditing: clip move/resize/delete/drop handlers - useDomEditSession: DOM selection, style/text commits, preview interaction - useAppHotkeys: keyboard shortcuts, undo/redo, iframe hotkey sync - useCaptionDetection: auto-detect caption compositions - useRenderClipContent: timeline clip thumbnail rendering - useConsoleErrorCapture: preview iframe console error capture - useFrameCapture: frame capture download flow - useLintModal: lint execution and modal state - useCompositionDimensions: stage-size message listener Components (6 new): - AskAgentModal: agent prompt modal - StudioHeader: toolbar with undo/redo, capture, inspector toggle - StudioLeftSidebar: file tree + code editor (handles collapsed state) - StudioPreviewArea: NLELayout + overlays + caption timeline - StudioRightPanel: Design/Motion/Renders tab panel - TimelineToolbar: zoom controls + timeline toggle Utilities (4 new): - studioHelpers: types, path helpers, DOM utilities - studioPreviewHelpers: preview pointer/player interaction - domEditHelpers: selection group algebra - studioFontHelpers: font injection + @font-face management Also removes dead timeline layer inspector code (eye icon, thumbnail toggle, layer panel) that was disabled behind a feature flag. * feat(studio): add Layer (z-index) field to design panel Adds a scrub-enabled "Layer" field below the W/H inputs in the Layout section. Available for all elements regardless of style editing capability since z-index is fundamental to composition stacking order. * docs: architecture spec for studio domain contexts, hook split, and file-size lint * docs: implementation plan for studio contexts, hook split, and file-size lint * refactor(studio): consolidate duplicate helpers in useDomEditSession Remove ~370 lines of helper functions that were copied into the hook instead of imported. All removed functions already exist in the canonical utility files (studioHelpers, studioFontHelpers, studioPreviewHelpers, domEditHelpers). Also removes the duplicate local type definitions for RightPanelTab, AgentModalAnchorPoint, and PreviewLocalPointer, and drops now-unused imports (googleFontStylesheetUrl, importedFontFaceCss, resolveVisualDomEditSelectionTarget, DomEditViewport). Temporarily excludes useDomEditSession.ts from the 500 LOC file-size check until Tasks 3-5 split it into focused hooks. * refactor(studio): extract useDomSelection from useDomEditSession * refactor(studio): extract useAskAgentModal from useDomEditSession * refactor(studio): extract usePreviewInteraction from useDomEditSession * refactor(studio): extract useDomEditCommits, useDomEditSession now thin orchestrator Split the 897-line useDomEditSession into focused hooks: - useDomEditCommits (439 LOC): manifest commits (path offset, box size, rotation, manual edits reset, motion), persist operations, element delete, font asset resolution - useDomEditTextCommits (329 LOC): style/text/text-field commits - useDomEditSession (339 LOC): thin orchestrator wiring selection, agent modal, preview interaction, and commit hooks All files now under 500 LOC limit. Removed the temporary lefthook filesize exclusion for useDomEditSession. * feat(studio): add 4 domain contexts (PanelLayout, FileManager, DomEdit, Studio) Create context providers that wrap hook return values for prop-drilling elimination. Each context destructures and reconstructs the value inside useMemo so exhaustive-deps is satisfied and re-renders are minimized. Not yet wired into App.tsx — that comes in a follow-up. * refactor(studio): wire domain contexts, eliminate prop drilling in 4 components Wire StudioProvider, PanelLayoutProvider, FileManagerProvider, and DomEditProvider in App.tsx. Migrate StudioHeader, StudioLeftSidebar, StudioPreviewArea, and StudioRightPanel to consume contexts instead of props. Prop counts reduced: - StudioHeader: 13 -> 6 - StudioLeftSidebar: 19 -> 4 - StudioPreviewArea: 37 -> 11 - StudioRightPanel: 39 -> 3 Net: -118 lines, 108 props removed from call sites. * chore: upgrade to React 19 Upgrade react and react-dom from 18.3 to 19.2.6 across the workspace. Add resolutions/overrides in root package.json to prevent peer dependency pins (e.g. @phosphor-icons/react) from pulling React 18. Regenerate bun.lock. This enables the React 19 context syntax (<Context value={...}>) used by the new domain contexts. * fix(studio): refresh preview after z-index change so stacking updates visually * fix(studio): remove duplicate duration override causing oscillation The timeline message handler set the duration twice: once via processTimelineMessage and once via a raw durationInFrames override. When drilled into a sub-composition, these could disagree, causing the duration to oscillate after element deletion. * fix(studio): use in-place iframe reload after clip delete, remove confirm dialogs Two changes to fix duration oscillation after deleting a timeline clip: 1. Replace setRefreshKey (full Player remount) with in-place iframe.contentWindow.location.reload() after deleting a clip. The full remount triggered a chaotic re-probing cycle with multiple duration sources (adapter, manifest, postMessage) fighting each other, causing the timeline to oscillate between durations. In-place reload preserves the Player web component and its state. 2. Remove window.confirm dialogs from both timeline clip delete and DOM element delete. Undo is available so the confirmation adds friction without value. * chore: gitignore docs/superpowers * feat(studio): add favicon * perf(studio): skip no-op state updates in timeline sync syncTimelineElements was called 60+ times per page load, each time triggering setElements/setDuration/setTimelineReady even when nothing changed. This caused massive re-render churn and memory usage. Add early-return guards to skip updates when values haven't changed. Also fixes the duration oscillation after element delete. * refactor(studio): split PropertyPanel.tsx (3126 LOC) into 8 focused modules The monolithic PropertyPanel.tsx exceeded the 500 LOC filesize limit. Split into cohesive modules by responsibility: - propertyPanelHelpers.ts (401) — pure utility functions, shared types/constants - propertyPanelPrimitives.tsx (357) — CommitField, MetricField, DetailField, SliderControl, SegmentedControl, SelectField, Section - propertyPanelColor.tsx (371) — ColorField, ColorSlider - propertyPanelFill.tsx (421) — ImageFillField, GradientField, asset path helpers - propertyPanelFont.tsx (455) — FontFamilyField + font catalog helpers - propertyPanelSections.tsx (453) — TextSection, TextFieldEditor, text controls - propertyPanelStyleSections.tsx (411) — StyleSections (stroke, effects, clip, fill) - PropertyPanel.tsx (347) — main component, LayerTree, re-exports for consumers All re-exports from PropertyPanel.tsx preserved for backwards compatibility. No behavioral changes — pure structural split. * fix(studio): use in-place iframe reload for all timeline operations Replace setRefreshKey with in-place iframe reload for move, resize, and asset drop — matching delete which was already fixed. Prevents the Player remount probe cycle that causes duration oscillation. * perf(studio): replace 5s polling loop with event-driven adapter init The Player's onIframeLoad used a setInterval polling loop (25 attempts × 200ms = 5 seconds) to detect when the runtime's __player/__timeline globals appeared. Each poll that missed triggered wasted work, and multiple duration sources fighting during the probe cycle caused oscillation bugs. Replace with event-driven initialization: 1. Fast path: try initializeAdapter() immediately (works for in-place reloads where the adapter is already present) 2. If not ready, listen for the runtime's "state"/"timeline" postMessage signals and initialize on the first one 3. Single 5s timeout as safety net (replaces 25 interval ticks) This eliminates the polling overhead, reduces setDuration/setElements calls to exactly 1 per load, and makes the Player responsive within one frame of the runtime being ready instead of up to 200ms later. * fix(studio): prevent duration oscillation after element delete Two fixes for the duration display oscillating between sub-composition and master durations after deleting an element in the preview: 1. Clear store elements before iframe reload in handleDomEditElementDelete. Without this, stale pre-delete elements remain in the store and cause mergeTimelineElementsPreservingDowngrades to alternate between REPLACE and PRESERVE modes as the element count fluctuates. 2. Add 500ms cooldown on enrichMissingCompositions after timeline messages. The "state" handler was calling enrichMissingCompositions every ~80ms, which added extra elements from GSAP timelines. These fought with the authoritative element list from "timeline" messages (~333ms), creating a feedback loop where element count oscillated and triggered alternating merge strategies with different durations. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * fix(studio): single reloadPreview as source of truth for preview refresh Create reloadPreview() in App.tsx that encapsulates the correct behavior (in-place iframe reload with setRefreshKey fallback). Pass it as the sole refresh mechanism to hooks, removing direct setRefreshKey access from useTimelineEditing and useDomEditCommits. --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * refactor(studio): decompose App.tsx from 4297 to 567 lines Break the monolithic StudioApp component into focused modules: Hooks (12 new): - usePanelLayout: resizable/collapsible panel state - useFileManager: file tree, CRUD, uploads, derived lists - useManifestPersistence: manual edit + motion manifest save queue - useTimelineEditing: clip move/resize/delete/drop handlers - useDomEditSession: DOM selection, style/text commits, preview interaction - useAppHotkeys: keyboard shortcuts, undo/redo, iframe hotkey sync - useCaptionDetection: auto-detect caption compositions - useRenderClipContent: timeline clip thumbnail rendering - useConsoleErrorCapture: preview iframe console error capture - useFrameCapture: frame capture download flow - useLintModal: lint execution and modal state - useCompositionDimensions: stage-size message listener Components (6 new): - AskAgentModal: agent prompt modal - StudioHeader: toolbar with undo/redo, capture, inspector toggle - StudioLeftSidebar: file tree + code editor (handles collapsed state) - StudioPreviewArea: NLELayout + overlays + caption timeline - StudioRightPanel: Design/Motion/Renders tab panel - TimelineToolbar: zoom controls + timeline toggle Utilities (4 new): - studioHelpers: types, path helpers, DOM utilities - studioPreviewHelpers: preview pointer/player interaction - domEditHelpers: selection group algebra - studioFontHelpers: font injection + @font-face management Also removes dead timeline layer inspector code (eye icon, thumbnail toggle, layer panel) that was disabled behind a feature flag. Temporarily excludes useDomEditSession.ts from the 500 LOC file-size check until Tasks 3-5 split it into focused hooks. * refactor(studio): extract useDomSelection from useDomEditSession * refactor(studio): extract useAskAgentModal from useDomEditSession * refactor(studio): extract usePreviewInteraction from useDomEditSession * refactor(studio): extract useDomEditCommits, useDomEditSession now thin orchestrator Split the 897-line useDomEditSession into focused hooks: - useDomEditCommits (439 LOC): manifest commits (path offset, box size, rotation, manual edits reset, motion), persist operations, element delete, font asset resolution - useDomEditTextCommits (329 LOC): style/text/text-field commits - useDomEditSession (339 LOC): thin orchestrator wiring selection, agent modal, preview interaction, and commit hooks All files now under 500 LOC limit. Removed the temporary lefthook filesize exclusion for useDomEditSession. * refactor(studio): wire domain contexts, eliminate prop drilling in 4 components Wire StudioProvider, PanelLayoutProvider, FileManagerProvider, and DomEditProvider in App.tsx. Migrate StudioHeader, StudioLeftSidebar, StudioPreviewArea, and StudioRightPanel to consume contexts instead of props. Prop counts reduced: - StudioHeader: 13 -> 6 - StudioLeftSidebar: 19 -> 4 - StudioPreviewArea: 37 -> 11 - StudioRightPanel: 39 -> 3 Net: -118 lines, 108 props removed from call sites. * chore: gitignore docs/superpowers * perf(studio): skip no-op state updates in timeline sync syncTimelineElements was called 60+ times per page load, each time triggering setElements/setDuration/setTimelineReady even when nothing changed. * fix: resolve lint errors from rebase (unused imports, duplicate declarations) * fix: prefix unused probeResult variable * fix: restore renderOrchestrator.ts from origin/next (rebase conflict artifact) * fix: resolve rebase conflicts by using main's producer and next's studio/player * fix: restore rebase-conflicted files from origin/next * fix: use 'load' instead of 'networkidle0' for Puppeteer waitUntil (type compatibility) * fix: restore webAudioTransport.ts from main (test compatibility) --------- Co-authored-by: Vance Ingalls <vance@heygen.com> Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> |

feat: Persist Studio manual edits via manifest (#593)
## Summary Studio manual geometry edits now persist as a project-local manifest instead of being baked into composition source on each gesture. The manifest lives at: ```text .hyperframes/studio-manual-edits.json ``` It is the source of truth for manual drag, resize, rotation, inspector geometry edits, group moves, and selected-layer reset. ## Architecture - **Manifest-backed edits**: each edit stores a kind (`path-offset`, `box-size`, `rotation`), a source-scoped target, and the edit values. - **Source-scoped resolution**: targets include `sourceFile`, `id`, `selector`, and `selectorIndex`, so duplicate selectors in nested compositions resolve against the owning source file. - **Additive CSS layer**: move uses CSS `translate`, resize writes stable dimensions/flex sizing, and rotation uses CSS `rotate` over the authored base. - **Shared replay runtime**: Studio preview, thumbnails, frame capture, producer renders, and CLI Studio renders/thumbnails all use the same core manual-edit render script. - **Animation-safe replay**: Studio reapplies the manual layer after load, refresh, timeline seeks, player operations, playback frames, thumbnail seeks, and render seeks instead of rewriting GSAP timelines. - **History and handoff**: the manifest is a normal project file, so undo/redo and agent edits can preserve, modify, or remove manual visual edits explicitly. ## User Impact Users can move, resize, rotate, group-move, and reset supported layers from the canvas or inspector, then refresh, capture thumbnails/screenshots, play animated compositions, and render videos without manual edits drifting away from the edited state. ## Main Files - `packages/studio/src/components/editor/manualEdits.ts` - `packages/studio/src/components/editor/DomEditOverlay.tsx` - `packages/studio/src/components/editor/PropertyPanel.tsx` - `packages/studio/src/App.tsx` - `packages/core/src/studio-api/helpers/manualEditsRenderScript.ts` - `packages/studio/vite.config.ts` - `packages/cli/src/server/studioServer.ts` - `packages/core/src/compiler/htmlBundler.ts` - `packages/producer/src/services/htmlCompiler.ts` - `packages/core/src/studio-api/routes/thumbnail.ts` - `packages/producer/src/services/fileServer.ts` - `packages/producer/src/services/renderOrchestrator.ts` ## Test Plan ```bash volta run --node 22.20.0 bun run build volta run --node 22.20.0 bun run --filter @hyperframes/core test -- src/studio-api/helpers/manualEditsRenderScript.test.ts volta run --node 22.20.0 bun run --filter @hyperframes/core typecheck volta run --node 22.20.0 bun run --filter @hyperframes/studio typecheck volta run --node 22.20.0 bun run --filter @hyperframes/cli typecheck volta run --node 22.20.0 bunx oxlint <changed files> volta run --node 22.20.0 bunx oxfmt --check <changed files> git diff --check ``` |

fix(studio): warn on anonymous timeline clips (#533)
## Problem Studio timeline editing still had two rough edges that made the latest alpha feel less polished when testing it like a video editor would: - Timeline clips for anonymous DOM nodes could surface internal fallback identities like `__node__index_*`, which made the timeline look broken instead of authored. - Elements without a stable `id` could still appear in the timeline and canvas editor, but authors did not get direct lint guidance that those elements are weaker targets for Studio and agent edits. ## What this fixes - Adds a non-blocking `studio_missing_editable_id` lint warning for timeline-visible elements that do not have an `id`. - Makes the warning point to the exact element and recommend stable, human-readable ids such as `hero-title` or `scene-1-card`. - Stops using synthetic node-index ids as runtime clip identity for anonymous DOM nodes. - Gives anonymous clips readable labels from authored metadata, composition ids, DOM ids, class names, asset filenames, text content, or a simple ordinal fallback. - Keeps those labels display-only in Studio and uses key-first identity for matching, dragging, resizing, and manifest merge preservation. - Covers the duplicate-label case where two anonymous clips both render as `Card` but still stay separate timeline entries. ## Root cause The runtime manifest used synthetic node-index ids as both identity and display fallback for timeline nodes that had no stable author-provided id. Studio then treated those internal values as user-facing clip names. The first pass improved the display label, but it also risked using that friendly label as internal identity. Two anonymous clips with the same label could then collapse into the same logical timeline element. The fix separates display labels from internal identity and prefers the timeline key whenever Studio needs to match an element. The linter also had correctness checks for render and runtime behavior, but it did not teach authors when a timeline-visible element would be harder for Studio and agents to patch reliably. That left missing ids as a silent authoring quality issue instead of actionable guidance. ## Verification ### Local checks - `bun run --cwd packages/core test -- src/lint/rules/core.test.ts src/runtime/timeline.test.ts` -> 41 tests pass - `bun run --cwd packages/studio test -- src/player/hooks/useTimelinePlayer.test.ts src/player/components/timelineTheme.test.ts` -> 23 tests pass - `bun run --cwd packages/core typecheck` - `bun run --cwd packages/studio typecheck` - `bun run --cwd packages/studio build` -> passes with the existing Vite chunk-size warning - `bunx oxlint $(git diff --name-only origin/main...HEAD)` -> 0 warnings, 0 errors - `bunx oxfmt --check $(git diff --name-only origin/main...HEAD)` - `git diff --check origin/main...HEAD` ### Browser verification - Created a scratch project at `/tmp/hf-pr533-conflict-verify` with two timed anonymous `.card` clips that both label as `Card`. - Started the local Studio dev server for `pr-533-conflict-verify`. - Used `agent-browser` to verify the timeline renders two separate `Card` clips instead of collapsing duplicate anonymous labels. - Used `agent-browser` to open the Studio lint modal and verify it shows human-readable missing-id warnings, not internal node-index labels. - Used `agent-browser` to click Play after the lint pass and confirm the timeline remains usable. - Recorded the tested Studio flow with `agent-browser`. ## Notes - Rebased onto current `main`; conflict resolution preserved both the newer mainline Studio shortcut/lint behavior and this PR's anonymous-clip identity split. - GitHub Actions are running on the rebased head. - Scratch verification files are intentionally not committed. - Local screenshots and recording from this rebase pass are under `.codex-artifacts/pr-533-conflict-rebase-2026-04-29/`. |

fix: keep Studio frame stepping advancing (#573)
## Problem Closes #568. Studio preview-focused frame stepping could stop advancing after a couple of ArrowLeft/ArrowRight presses. The same integer-frame stepping path also affected the K-held J/L one-frame shuttle controls. ## What this fixes - Adds a shared `stepFrameTime` helper that advances by integer frame index instead of adding fractional seconds. - Uses that helper for preview-surface keyboard shortcuts and the focused seek slider. - Adds regression coverage for truncated runtime times like `0.0333333`, which previously stepped back onto the same frame. ## Root cause The runtime seek path quantizes requested times with `Math.floor(time * fps)`. Studio was deriving the next frame from the runtime's current seconds value, which can be a truncated decimal such as `0.0333333`. Adding `1 / 30` to that value can produce `1.999998...` frames, so floor-quantization lands back on the previous frame and repeated shortcuts appear to stop responding. ## Verification ### Local checks - `bun run --filter @hyperframes/core build:hyperframes-runtime` - `bun run --filter @hyperframes/studio test -- src/player/lib/time.test.ts src/player/hooks/useTimelinePlayer.test.ts src/player/components/PlayerControls.test.ts` - `bunx oxfmt --check packages/studio/src/player/lib/time.ts packages/studio/src/player/lib/time.test.ts packages/studio/src/player/hooks/useTimelinePlayer.ts packages/studio/src/player/components/PlayerControls.tsx` - `bunx oxlint packages/studio/src/player/lib/time.ts packages/studio/src/player/lib/time.test.ts packages/studio/src/player/hooks/useTimelinePlayer.ts packages/studio/src/player/components/PlayerControls.tsx` - `bun run --filter @hyperframes/studio typecheck` - `bun run --filter @hyperframes/studio build` - `git diff --check` - Lefthook pre-commit: lint, format, typecheck - Lefthook commit-msg: commitlint ### Browser verification - Created `/tmp/hf-studio-frame-step-repro` with a 10s GSAP animation. - Started Studio preview at `http://localhost:5191/#project/hf-studio-frame-step-repro`. - Used `agent-browser` to reproduce the original stuck behavior before the fix: repeated preview-focused `ArrowRight` keydowns were handled but runtime time stayed at `0.0333333`. - Used `agent-browser` after the fix to verify preview-focused `ArrowRight` advances 10 frames to `0.3333333`. - Used `agent-browser` to verify K-held L steps forward 5 frames to `0.1666667` and K-held J steps backward from 5 frames to `0`. - Used actual Safari 18.6 with System Events key presses to verify 10 and then 20 preview-focused ArrowRight presses continue advancing visually. ## Notes - Safari WebDriver was unavailable because Safari's "Allow remote automation" setting is disabled on this machine, so the Safari check used real Safari GUI key events instead. - Local proof artifacts are intentionally not committed: - `qa-artifacts/studio-frame-step-issue-568/chrome-after-10-arrow-right.png` - `qa-artifacts/studio-frame-step-issue-568/chrome-frame-step-flow.webm` - `qa-artifacts/studio-frame-step-issue-568/safari-after-10-arrow-right.png` - `qa-artifacts/studio-frame-step-issue-568/safari-after-20-arrow-right.png` |

feat: add studio timeline editing (#390)
## Summary Add the actual Studio timeline editing layer on top of the preview/runtime foundation. This PR includes: - drag-to-move clips across time and tracks - left/right resize handles with media-aware trim persistence - edge auto-scroll and edge track creation while dragging - selector-based source patching for `data-start`, `data-duration`, `data-track-index`, `z-index`, and media trim attributes - timeline UI cleanup, theming, hover/drag states, and the `Copy Prompt` action ## Why This PR Is Separate This is the user-facing editing behavior. It depends on the preview/runtime fixes in the base PR, but it is much easier to review once that plumbing is isolated. ## Verification - `bun run --filter @hyperframes/studio test` - `bun run --filter @hyperframes/studio typecheck` - `bunx oxlint packages/studio/src/App.tsx packages/studio/src/components/nle/NLELayout.tsx packages/studio/src/player/components/EditModal.tsx packages/studio/src/player/components/Timeline.tsx packages/studio/src/player/components/TimelineClip.tsx packages/studio/src/player/components/timelineEditing.ts packages/studio/src/player/components/timelineEditing.test.ts packages/studio/src/player/components/timelineTheme.ts packages/studio/src/player/components/timelineTheme.test.ts packages/studio/src/utils/sourcePatcher.ts packages/studio/src/utils/sourcePatcher.test.ts` - `bunx oxfmt --check packages/studio/src/App.tsx packages/studio/src/components/nle/NLELayout.tsx packages/studio/src/player/components/EditModal.tsx packages/studio/src/player/components/Timeline.tsx packages/studio/src/player/components/TimelineClip.tsx packages/studio/src/player/components/timelineEditing.ts packages/studio/src/player/components/timelineEditing.test.ts packages/studio/src/player/components/timelineTheme.ts packages/studio/src/player/components/timelineTheme.test.ts packages/studio/src/utils/sourcePatcher.ts packages/studio/src/utils/sourcePatcher.test.ts` ## Browser Proof - verified timeline drag / resize / trim flows in Studio with `agent-browser` - verified preview hot-refresh behavior without iframe remount flashes ## Stack - depends on #389 - followed by `fix: smooth scrubber end seeking` [result.mp4 <span class="graphite__hidden">(uploaded via Graphite)</span> <img class="graphite__hidden" src="https://app.graphite.com/user-attachments/thumbnails/ca71c177-5042-468d-906f-b353938f40f8.mp4" />](https://app.graphite.com/user-attachments/video/ca71c177-5042-468d-906f-b353938f40f8.mp4) |

fix: stabilize studio preview and runtime sync (#389)
## Summary Stabilize the Studio preview/runtime path so timeline data, preview rendering, and thumbnails stay in sync. This PR includes: - preview hot-refresh without remounting the iframe - runtime duration/timeline fixes so Studio stops drifting from playback state - thumbnail and selector-based preview fixes - local Studio runtime serving and player-resolution fixes so dev/CI do not depend on prebuilt player artifacts - tests around preview identity and thumbnail/runtime behavior ## Why This PR Exists This is the foundation layer for timeline editing. Without it, the editor was prone to: - iframe remount flashes after saves - duration mismatches between preview and timeline - stale or incorrect thumbnails - CI/test failures when `@hyperframes/player` artifacts were not prebuilt ## Verification - `bun run --filter @hyperframes/studio test` - `bun run --filter @hyperframes/studio typecheck` - `bun run --filter @hyperframes/core typecheck` - `bunx oxlint packages/cli/src/server/studioServer.ts packages/core/src/runtime/timeline.ts packages/core/src/runtime/timeline.test.ts packages/core/src/studio-api/routes/thumbnail.ts packages/core/src/studio-api/routes/thumbnail.test.ts packages/core/src/studio-api/types.ts packages/studio/src/components/nle/NLELayout.tsx packages/studio/src/components/nle/NLEPreview.tsx packages/studio/src/components/nle/NLEPreview.test.ts packages/studio/src/player/components/CompositionThumbnail.tsx packages/studio/src/player/components/Player.tsx packages/studio/src/player/hooks/useTimelinePlayer.ts packages/studio/src/player/store/playerStore.ts packages/studio/vite.config.ts` - `bunx oxfmt --check packages/cli/src/server/studioServer.ts packages/core/src/runtime/timeline.ts packages/core/src/runtime/timeline.test.ts packages/core/src/studio-api/routes/thumbnail.ts packages/core/src/studio-api/routes/thumbnail.test.ts packages/core/src/studio-api/types.ts packages/studio/src/components/nle/NLELayout.tsx packages/studio/src/components/nle/NLEPreview.tsx packages/studio/src/components/nle/NLEPreview.test.ts packages/studio/src/player/components/CompositionThumbnail.tsx packages/studio/src/player/components/Player.tsx packages/studio/src/player/hooks/useTimelinePlayer.ts packages/studio/src/player/store/playerStore.ts packages/studio/vite.config.ts` ## Stack - base of stack - followed by `feat: add studio timeline editing` - followed by `fix: smooth scrubber end seeking` |

fix(player, studio): resolve root timeline from DOM instead of last key (#247)
Bundled previews register a master composition alongside its sub-compositions
in `window.__timelines`, e.g. { main, intro, scene2, scene5 }. Both the
player's probe and studio's getAdapter() were using `keys[keys.length - 1]`
to pick the adapter, which returned whichever timeline was registered last.
That made the player report the final sub-composition's duration as the
video length (e.g. 3.2s instead of the master's 14s) and play/pause/seek
targeted that sub-composition instead of the full composition.
Look up the outermost `[data-composition-id]` element in the iframe DOM
and use its id to select the right timeline. Falls back to last-key when
no element is present (standalone sub-composition previews) so drill-down
views keep working.
Also restores `main`/`import` entry points on @hyperframes/player to
point at compiled dist output (the src/ paths broke workspace consumers
that only receive the published tarball).

fix(studio): support web-component refs in useTimelinePlayer (#245)
* fix(studio): support web-component refs in useTimelinePlayer The studio's `useTimelinePlayer` hook returns an `iframeRef` that consumers attach to an `<iframe>` element. When consumers wrap the iframe in a custom element (e.g. `<hyperframes-player>`) that puts the iframe inside its shadow DOM, every `iframeRef.current.contentWindow` access returned `null` and `getAdapter()` silently failed — meaning timeline seek, play, pause, and `refreshPlayer` all became no-ops. Changes: - Add `resolveIframe(el)` helper that returns the underlying iframe whether the host is the iframe itself, a custom element with a shadow-DOM iframe, or a wrapper with a descendant iframe. - Export `resolveIframe` from the studio so consumers can pre-resolve the iframe before assigning it to `iframeRef`. - Internal `useTimelinePlayer` keeps the strict `HTMLIFrameElement` ref type, so existing consumers attaching directly to an `<iframe>` are unaffected. Also adds: - JSDoc on the player's `iframeElement` getter. - "Advanced: iframe access" docs section in `packages/player/README.md` and `docs/packages/player.mdx`. - Type-safety lint rules in `.oxlintrc.json` and a "Type-safety conventions" section in `CONTRIBUTING.md`. Backward compatible — App.tsx and NLELayout.tsx continue to work unchanged. * chore(lint): defer no-explicit-any rule; it broke existing codebase The new rules added 37 errors across 32 existing files — mostly legitimate `window as any` casts at browser-global and test-mock boundaries. Enabling them without fixing all violations breaks CI. Revert the `.oxlintrc.json` additions and soften the CONTRIBUTING.md wording to describe the convention without claiming lint enforcement (that enforcement will come in a follow-up PR that fixes all sites). |
